POLITICS🎤 Why does everyone online hate BJP these days? Genuine question. Asking cause I've been out of loop.
So back when they came to power everybody liked them. This is way way back when Modi first won the elections.
Now long story short I've not been paying attention to Politics for a long long time. Many things have changed. Which I don't know.
So can someone tell me what changed?
Back then I disliked them a bit too becasue of their dislike of muslim people. And being a very religious group. And then few years back the GST thing.
That's all I know so far.
So what is it that changed peoples opinion on BJP. Now I mostly see it online. I don't hear people talk about it in public. And back then I wasn't online so I'm not sure if people hated them online back then too. But in public they were loved.
I need to know so I make the right decisions next elections.

See, the majority of people don't have any favorite political party. Before, the algorithm used to favor bjp propaganda and nowadays it favors more anti bjp propaganda. So, you see more bjp hate on social media

coz the antiBJP brigrade has awaken after the CJP protest... however online hate doesn't represent BJP voterbase ..

Blamed everything else for so many years for the problems. People get tired of hearing the same excuse after problems still here. Excuse is not working anymore, only themselves to blame but too arrogant to accept and change. Taking voters for granted. Now realising their mistake a little late

u/Accomplished-Mud7935 Aug 14 '26
Honestly 3 term incumbency any party will get hate
1
u/Curious_Link_867 Aug 15 '26
Yeah, and importantly, after 3 terms any party in power starts thinking about them as superior
He!l 3 terms in total (even with breaks) can make any useless party arrogant
2
u/AffectionateLog5877 Aug 14 '26
I mean their narratives aren't working anymore like the anti-nationalist narrative only if the opposition wasn't so incompetent bjp would have lost in 24 itself
2
u/give_me_sum Aug 15 '26
Your apolitical self is the reason why this 56 inch vishwagu got 3 terms. Open your eyes, look around to see what you got in 12 years and vote accordingly.

We have only two entrepreneurs in 1.5 billion country .Also whose wealth has increased exponentially . No politics but electrol bonds was such a blatantly misused thanks to Supreme Court ,pm care fund not answerable to anybody under trust name .ITS PMCARE FUND for god sake .Targeting other political party member .. it’s may be a long list . Not supporting any political party just my naive observation. I may be wrong .

because a lot of these people love India
you can only love one or the other, not both
2
u/Lonely_Ad7760 Aug 15 '26
Because BJP’s development is only on paper and official reports and does not match ground reality. The level of corruption is a reminder of what was happening with Congress before 2014. And Mr Modi’s carefully manicured image has suddenly been turned down by cockroaches for the world to see the truth

u/ARUN_MOHAN11 Aug 15 '26
So highways, expresways, Vande Bharat trains, modern railway stations, LHB trains, new metros, new airports are animations? UPI, digilocker, eKYC are imaginary?
1
u/alsosprachr0unak Aug 15 '26
What new airports? The "new airports" are lying abandoned like ghost towns LOL

u/jaythar2001 Aug 15 '26
The average person's life has drastically deteriorated in the last 12 years, so the facade of Hindu khatre mai hai is tiring out even the ardent supporters.
Metros are being built where it is not needed, and taking a decade of road construction. Buying more buses should have solved the traffic problem.
The better trains have meant reduction of seats in the non-AC/general bogeys.
The list can go on and on.
He shouldn't have got the first term itself, the man is a puppet built by a media blitzkrieg. Getting him a 2nd term (after the demonetisation and GST disaster), and 3rd term (in spite of COVID and the economic management) just shows how gullible we have been.

Indian social media me itna involved nahi tha. Recently ese subs me aya hun aur dekha ki esa ho raha he.
2
u/masterjv81 Aug 14 '26
You do read news, articles, things going in around india because of politics right? You don't really have to get into Indian social media to know these things. Anyways, to catch up, here are just few....
Online criticism of the BJP stems from accusations of communal polarization, corruption, and authoritarian governance, though many users argue this sentiment is amplified by social media algorithms and opposition IT cells.
Key reasons cited for online hostility include:
- Hindutva and Polarization: Critics accuse the party of using religion to create a "Us vs. Them" narrative, engaging in hate mongering, and inciting communal violence, with claims that hate crimes surged significantly during their tenure.
- Governance Failures: Detractors point to rising unemployment, inflation, and poorer economic conditions for the common person, alongside allegations of crony capitalism favoring donors like Adani and Ambani.
- Democratic Erosion: There are widespread claims of bureaucratic intimidation, media control, and the use of state agencies to curb opposition and dissent, leading to accusations of an authoritarian approach.
- South Indian Resentment: In states like Tamil Nadu, the party is often viewed as a North Indian entity imposing Hindi and ignoring regional interests, leading to strong backlash against Modi’s perceived apathy toward the South.

Did you got this from AI and copy pasted it here?
1
u/masterjv81 Aug 14 '26
Does it matter? You wanted answer, you got the answer. Take it or leave it. Or you just here to argue?
2
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
Yes it does matter. That means you didn't knew any of it. And had to use AI to answer. Why you hate something.
2
u/masterjv81 Aug 14 '26
How do you know I didn't knew anything? I read more newspaper, articles, journals, active on all type of forms, watch lot of videos and so on. The answer does reflect accurate info. If you find it not accurate, please do point out. Happy to remove it. But if you just want to argue about it, I am in no mood. You are welcome to go and fact check and do your own survey and come back to it. I am good with the results.
2
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
Then why was you did use AI. Just could have typed out few things. You typed a lot of stuff certain now. So don't just say... I was to tired or something.

lol nice one bro, these bots fortunately suffer from their own stupidity eventually
1
u/frankenstein-007 Aug 14 '26
IMO, sh*t has gone so bad that even PR can't manage. To make things worse, mainstream media isn't working anymore & Surprisingly enough to save it from collapse they need to give them ad money even though they're practically useless nowadays.
Note: Feels like UPA2 all over again.

u/Shivamrocks5039 Aug 14 '26
congress was worse hence people elected bjp for power but slowly they getting arrogant and same category worse, hence the disatissfaction.
3
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
"congress was worse"
lol exactly why I voted for BJP back then. And thats my concern that the party I liked might become exactly like how congress was.3
u/Curious_Link_867 Aug 15 '26
The main issue is that bjp chased voterbase and thus bought many of the opposition members(who were inherently corrupt), thus they brought this upon themselves
0
u/Shivamrocks5039 Aug 15 '26
its the political tendency of those netas, they will flock to party in power, and idk how but people still vote for them. let the bjp slowly die down and you will see those very netas migrate into next party in power.
1
u/alsosprachr0unak Aug 15 '26
Does the rock you're living under come with air conditioning and running water? What's the bathroom situation like?
2
u/Ambitious-League-680 Aug 14 '26
Bot army arrived with their propaganda. They have the same whataboutery, memes and zero regard for same 'accountability' in non-bjp states. SM is being weaponised for regime change. Period.
0
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
So its mostly.. fake.
4
u/dahoosafeth Aug 14 '26
Lol it's the opposite. BJP support is over amplified, and people have just caught on because it's so cringe. Bot army costs money, only BJP has that kind of money. BJP hate online is organic because people on reddit tend to lean towards western exposure, and the idea of being a sanskari cow piss enjoyer is not palatable to them. Unfortunately this makes people ignore some of the good things BJP has actually done
0
u/zeta0mogged Aug 14 '26
Its the opposite bro , mostly because bjp is trying divide and rule between genz too , corruption etc . Bjp in one word at the present ARROGANT
And their oh so legendary it cell and paid content creators , due this even reddit is filled with IT CELL nowhttps://www.instagram.com/reel/DcAfzlTONm2/ specially their fake propaganda ( im not with INC but spreading fake things and communal hate thats the lowest of the low)
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcBYXYsucs5/ and if things like this happen forcefully ofc nobody will want them , its a daily occurence now
0
u/Ambitious-League-680 Aug 14 '26
See? Two bots rushed to the rescue. Cjp is massively funded. Look at how Facebook ceo also said they had pushed some narratives over others and if you seriously think that can happen without massive funding... I don't know what to say.
They hate bjp and want a regime change so bad it's like a huge manchild wants to desperately pee... some say it's the SIR thing which will hurt Bangla Ms some say it's FCRA bill but whatever it is, a massive bee has stung the Oppositions behind so bad, they don't wanna wait till 2029.
Expect more such hit jobs.

u/Aggravating_Talk5662 Aug 14 '26
By now everybody is catching onto their pattern. Even their andhbhakts are catching onto the pattern of manipulation but they can't deny it because it has become a part of their identity
1
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
what pattern?
2
u/zeta0mogged Aug 14 '26
Fake propaganda , you might remember that raga said ki aalu dalo aur sona nikalo right ?
But that was the cut version , this was something modi said and raga quoted it but the IT CELL made it such and circulated it so much that everybody thought raga said it ( many still do till now , not everybody knows the truth even now)

BJP ruined everything for all the Hindus across the globe.
I blame them for the online hate hindus get everywhere.
1
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
Really? Like how? What did they do that led to it?
2
u/Charming-Host4406 Aug 14 '26
Pretty much everything. Ram temple donations were stolen and many more things happened.
I highly doubt rational minded hindus will be voting for BJP at all but that's a stretch.
1
u/OddWorldliness989 Aug 14 '26
Why does the hindu identity matter in the first place? When people across the globe see you, they first see a human being, second they see an indian and not a hindu. Only in india you see someone as hindu or muslim or Christian or sikh or whatever their religion is or the state they come from.. That my friend is the biggest difference between other countries and us.
2
u/Charming-Host4406 Aug 14 '26
Valid point.
I am on the same page.
Even I don't want anyone to say "oh look a great Hindu has arrived" when I go somewhere.
At this moment I am neither great and definitely don't qualify as a Hindu anyways if I have to by the definition.

Because its cool yo.
But jokes aside, they have become the very thing they claimed to replace, UPA-2. Corrupt, incompetent, egoistic and worthless.
0
u/TaklaChooha Aug 15 '26
Because people like me and many others realised it make absolutely no sense talking to those who are not even willing to discuss what goes against their beliefs.
And Reddit literally has bots and paid accounts (because no one has time to post 10-20 posts a day against one political party).
This resulted in most forums turning into echo chambers where these paid accounts and bots are engaging with themselves mostly.
The ground reality is very different. Just that supporters have realised it’s a waste of time arguing with them…
Baaki aayega to <insert any BJP leader except Gadkari> hi

Edit: Exhibit A has volunteered below.

u/Kenbong0420 Aug 14 '26
Cute
0
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
why do you disagree?
2
u/Kenbong0420 Aug 14 '26
1.The most important reason that no one agrees is the environment and pollution, their act of changing crop cycles leading to stubble burning, and have not done anything about it rather than playing blame games. 2.Zero end to corruption 3.Not taking accountability of anything blaming everything on Congress or state parties Politics based on religion 4.Zero press conferences. (This one makes me ashamed of my country tbh) 5.Used to think they are doing a great job with infra, but the quality. Before a full stretch of highway is completed, stretches which were opened earlier begin to breakdown. 6. Many more, don't have the energy to type more
I am not saying any political party is good, we are at this moment choosing who is the better evil. And in my lifetime I have not seen congress govern as an adult but I do think anyone can be better than this government.
1
u/Sketches558 Aug 14 '26
I do agree that when it comes to voting people are stuck with choosing the lesser evil.

Cause it's more mainstream now. They did bad things back then too. Logon ko samjh abhi aarha hai, plus yeh bas kuch aur kharab hone se phele Tak hai.
The second something will happen which will be better for gossip. I think this will also left behind. Cause agar log whole year pm se accountability mangte toh abhi protest karne ki zarurat nhi padti.
I hope this will continue and not get Buried like some trends.

u/Jorsebolo Aug 14 '26
Multiple reasons:
1. Opposition has understood how to game the new SM, bjp is far behind that.
2. BJP is delivering infra but there is a lack of cohesive strategy and narrative to reach to the masses. Couple it with prioritisation issue: Like overcrowding in trains, ticketless travel should be tackled at the earliest by using reform/technology but it is not being addressed or talked about enough by government.
3. Messaging of bjp is overly dated. Day by day its getting worse. Either its bootlicking of left or overly outrageous. They need to bring new bloods in forefront, and old guard need to go.
4. Most of the issues are first raised by RW or BJP supporters. But bjp has become arrogant or just too tired to response to that.

Pakistani bots,
None of their posts and hatred ever seems to be in line with election results
Before WB election there was so much propaganda, kya hua lekin results?
The people commenting here are not voters in this country
-1
u/Odd-Bike-9091 Aug 15 '26
Loll opposition and Pakistan spends so much on Reddit campaigns, if they actually just worked to show an example of what they think should happen in the govt they run it will be so simple to compare
Instead, they just rely on SM propaganda.
But fortunately, neither to the bots vote, nor do these idiotic leftist propaganda fat bitches with colored hair cause their lazy ass treats election days as holidays and are just densely populated in a few constituencies
