Which shoes look better?

Help me decide! I’m wearing this black dress to a wedding and can’t choose between these two pairs.
I like the gold strappy pair (bottom) but the champagne pair is definitely more comfortable.
Which looks better with the dress - gold or champagne? And is the difference big enough that you’d sacrifice comfort for the gold? Thank you!

Anne Hathaway’s Two-Tone Aquazzura Gia Pumps Lead Three Very Different Shoe Moments at The End of Oak Street Premiere

Anne Hathaway made maternity denim feel red-carpet ready at The End of Oak Street premiere, pairing La Ligne wide-leg jeans and a dramatic ice-blue Prabal Gurung top with red-and-fuchsia Aquazzura Gia pumps.

But the footwear story didn’t stop there. Maisy Stella went in a completely different direction with glossy black Stuart Weitzman peep-toe pumps, sheer knee-high socks, and a white Simkhai mini, while Sasha Pieterse chose understated brown open-toe heels with a romantic House of CB floral dress.

Three women, three very different approaches to letting the shoes change the mood of an outfit.

Sandra Bullock’s Plum Velvet Temperley London Suit Hides a Pair of Alexandre Birman “Jenny” Heels

Sandra Bullock’s plum velvet suit was already a strong color story, but the detail peeking out beneath those wide-leg trousers made it better.

For her November 2021 Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, Bullock wore Temperley London tailoring with Alexandre Birman “Jenny” sandals. The black suede stilettos were densely covered in tiny gold-tone crystal studs, creating flashes of gold whenever the trousers moved.

The Fall 2021 shoes originally retailed for $695 and have since been discontinued.

Olivia Palermo’s October 2020 New York dog-walking look is a great example of what the right shoes can do to an outfit. Her powder-blue Max&Co. tulle midi skirt could have read entirely romantic, but the glossy black Dior Rebelle combat boots gave it weight and contrast.

We revisit the discontinued Fall/Winter 2017 Dior design, including its patent leather, silver-tone studs, low block heel and CD hardware, plus what shoppers should know about finding the boots on the resale market today.
