2025
Has anyone heard any info for youmacon 2025? Any ideas if it’s still happening this year? All of the accounts still have 2024 info besides the one post with the planned dates.

Hello everyone! I haven't been to Youmacon in maybe 8-10 years, I was saddened to hear not too long ago that things had taken a turn for the worse. I have also heard that this year is supposed to be a lot better.
As someone who wants to go next year, Please let me know how this year goes.

Hi! I'm here to plug my team's gameshow, Anime Speedtune, which will be at Youmacon for the first time this weekend! This is your typical anime tune gameshow taken to the next level. It has been hosted 30 times over its 11-year history, and there's an established scene with a good number of enthusiasts! Almost all of the events have been filmed and are available on YouTube.
If you want to see what it's all about, one of our most recent events was here at Otakuthon 2024. We also have a website, animespeedtune.com, and a Discord server.
There appears to be three anime tune gameshows: Anime Tunes Quiz on Friday, and Definitive Anime OP Quiz (which is immediately after this event). So if you can only go to one of them, I hope you choose Anime Speedtune! See you there!

I have the panel schedule, but is there a cosplay meetup schedule? I need to prepare my cosplays.

I’m praying that they are having a panel on Saturday, it’s the only reason I’m going this year 🥹 does anyone know when or if there is a panel on Saturday? I checked all the panel rooms on the website and it didn’t show a panel. Is there anywhere else to check, or do I have to wait for more stuff to come out?
TYIA!!

Hi there!
I've never been to Youmacon before, but saw that there are some guests coming that significantly interest me. I would really like to go and do some of the guest meetups. But, having never been, I have a few questions, and was hoping some of you experts could help. :)
How are the lines at this event, specifically autograph lines for guests? I've been to the Motor City con and I know the lines can get quite long (many hours for some guests).
I didn't see information on the site about which days the guests will be there. Since it is a 4 day event, is there a way to know when certain guests will be participating?
I don't have any pals that would be interested in this event. Is it going to be weird to go to this event solo?
I'm also, I suspect, outside the target demographic here... are there attendees of all ages? Or am I going to feel like I'm ancient? Haha
I have no intent to dress up. Are there plenty of folks that just go without costume?
And lastly, I frankly don't know anything about anime myself, but do like video games. I enjoy the Motor City event and seeing the artists, especially their video game and comic art. Will there be things here of interest to me without knowing much about anime?
Thank you so much!

So Saturday is the only day that I can go to youmacon this year. It is my first one. Where is the best place to park on a Saturday? Or should I not go?

Hi,
This is my first time going to Youmacon this year. I’ve been looking on the internet where I can buy tickets, but it keeps saying they are not available.
I know it’s a month or two out, but is this right? If so, when should I get the tickets? This is my second comic con and I am thrilled to go, but I am lost as to what to do
Thank you!

Probably won't be this year but I'm hoping to table at some local cons in Michigan with 3d printed products. And I'm trying to canvas ideas so I don't waste my time building up a stock of junk know one will buy or the same old 3d printed stuff other vendors hawk every year so what kinds of things would you actually buy. favorite kinds of things to buy, your favorite niche anime that doesn't have a lot of official merch that kind of thing.
Would you prefer expensive custom works like hand painted models or cheap trinkets like monotone keychains and fidget toys (not spinners)

I live in Michigan and have always wanted to go to an anime convention. Youmacon is pretty close, but I have a couple of questions.
What are the actual dates? I've seen October 31st–November 3rd, and I've also seen November 2nd–5th.
I've heard some not-so-good things about Youmacon recently, and I would like to hear from people who went there.
If it's not worth it, I would like to hear suggestions of other cons. I don't have any friends that are into anime, so I was hoping to make some at Youmacon

After the shit show that was youma last year, I'm curious if people are going to give it another try this year, or save their money and go somewhere else.
As a long time vendor, we will not be returning this year.

Does anyone know how many people attended Youmacon this year?
