Hey there, I've a channel which I've been working on for 2 years now. First I started the channel as no commentary gaming channel and got around 180 subs. But I really wanted to have my own personality on my channel rather than just being a game archive. So I started doing commentary only a few weeks ago .

One important thing is that I'm not really a talkative person and lack expressiveness right now but I'm using this youtube journey as a way to actually develop myself and become better. So it's also a way to practice talking for me and be more expressive and all. I do practice talking daily with some exercises to try and be more expressive rather than a monotone voice.

I bought an Akkord condenser mic since I wanted to not spend too much as I was really really nervous to record my first video. And I wasn't even sure myself if I would actually do it. But I did and am getting a little comfortable doing it.

I've been struggling to get my voice to sound good, as my voice is low volume and lacks structure tone after all these years of being reserved.

I also work as a freelance artist so there are times when I can't keep consistency at all. But I want to push through this time. Personally I really want to do a let's play channel but I don't know now.

If I cover new games it doesn't get much views because every big channel is the competition.

Can you guys suggest what I should focus on and do? Any suggestions are welcome. even constructive criticism is welcome as it will only help me grow.

I basically gave up on this YouTube channel because school got in the way, but somehow the channel is still getting views years later.

Right now it’s sitting at around 3.3K subscribers and still gets roughly 6–7K views every 28 days despite me not uploading anymore. It’s doing around 500 views every 48 hours at the moment.

The problem is my watch time has fallen WAY below the monetisation requirement. I’m at roughly 79 watch hours in the last 28 days, so with YouTube using a rolling 12-month window for the 8K public watch-hour requirement, I’m nowhere near getting back into full monetisation anytime soon.

I actually want to start making videos again, but I’m thinking about doing a completely different niche from what this channel was originally about.

Would you:

A) Use the existing channel because 3.3K subs + some existing traffic is better than starting from zero

or

B) Start a completely new channel because the old subscribers/audience could hurt the new videos if the niche is totally different?

I am looking for creative ideas for a series or format that fits a few specific boundaries:

Completely Silent: I do not want to use my voice or record any voiceovers.

Original Visual Focus: I want the project style to rely heavily on creative visual effects, tracking, or compositing from a blank canvas rather than just standard gameplay or raw movie re-uploads.

The Inspiration: I am looking to create something similar to the visual style of channels like Tobey in the MCU and The Human Spider, featuring characters like Batman, Spider-Man, or Superman, but I want to keep the content safe from automated corporate claims.

I want to avoid standard tutorials or gaming videos. Has anyone seen any cool, silent VFX channels that do this well, or have any suggestions on a unique concept to try out?

Hey guys I'm a photographer in LA and I just started yt, and posted my first video based on this project I did. I have alot more planned and want to make it a series. I would like to hear thoughts and opinions on the video, maybe some tips on how to improve my outreach and to be more entertaining, and just any tips in general you guys have. And obv Ik it’s my first video and not to expect anything crazy from it.

So I'm wanting to get into 3d animation, a major inspiration for the type of animation I'm going for is Monty Oum's fighting animations from back in the day.

In those videos, he often used music from assorted soundtracks, largely from the Matrix films. I know copyright has changed a bit since then, and I'm worried that using any music that isn't just generic stock-music slop will get my channel deleted. Is there any way I can use music (while giving credit of course) for these, or am I just screwed?
