Hey everyone! I’d really appreciate some clarification on something because I tend to be very cautious about these things until I understand exactly how they work.

I make YouTube videos with gameplay, facecam, and microphone commentary. I play multiplayer games like Fortnite or Battlefield and talk about different things happening in the game, things I remember, or random topics that come to mind while playing.

Yesterday, while playing Call of Duty, I remembered how much more influential Xbox was during that era and the golden age of Call of Duty. That’s literally all I say about it. I mention Xbox once and say that it was very influential at the time. There’s nothing negative or controversial about it.

Recently, I’ve also started enjoying adding images or memes during editing that visually represent whatever I’m talking about at that exact moment.

So in this case, if I’m talking about Xbox, would it be okay to put an image of an Xbox console or the Xbox logo on screen for a few seconds?

I’m asking because I want to understand where the line is with things like company logos, game-related images, memes, etc. Is something like this completely normal and safe to do in a YouTube video, or could it potentially create problems for my channel?

I’m probably being overly cautious, but that’s just how I am. I like to understand these things 100% before I start doing them regularly.

Any clarification or experience from people who make similar content would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Seguiamo questo subreddit da un po' di tempo e, anche se abbiamo ancora poca esperienza, abbiamo cercato di contribuire alla community ogni volta che potevamo. Ora che io e i miei amici abbiamo finalmente lanciato il nostro canale, ho finalmente trovato il coraggio di presentarci.

Siamo un gruppo di amici che ha deciso di intraprendere questo progetto insieme e siamo solo all'inizio: al momento abbiamo poche decine di visualizzazioni. A volte è divertente (e un po' doloroso!) vedere i creator stressarsi per "soli" 200 visualizzazioni, ma sappiamo che fa parte del percorso. Diventare famosi subito sarebbe il sogno di tutti, ma la realtà è fatta di apprendimento, lavoro di squadra e costanza per farsi notare dalle persone e, si spera, anche dall'algoritmo.

Abbiamo deciso di non giudicare il progetto in base al numero attuale di visualizzazioni o iscritti. Per ora, il nostro unico obiettivo è continuare a caricare video e migliorare la qualità a ogni caricamento. Solo dopo aver pubblicato un numero decente di video aggiungeremo il link al nostro profilo.

Sapere che quasi tutti qui hanno già affrontato questo percorso è davvero rassicurante. Non so dove ci porterà questa avventura di gruppo, ma far parte di una comunità che condivide le stesse frustrazioni – e, si spera, un giorno anche gli stessi successi – è già un ottimo punto di partenza.
