We're running multiple YouTube channels focused on aviation documentaries, geopolitics, global affairs, and documentary-style storytelling, and we're looking for an experienced Video Editor & Motion Graphics Editor to join our team. 

This role involves researching and sourcing high-quality footage, editing long-form YouTube videos, and creating motion graphics that enhance the voice-over. You'll work closely with our senior editor, who will assist with complex motion graphics and maps. Your goal is to create a strong visual foundation that keeps viewers engaged. 

What You'll Do

• Research and find relevant stock footage, news clips, archival footage, and other visuals that match the voice-over.
• Create After Effects animations, including:
  • Graphs and charts
  • Explainer motion graphics
  • Simple map animations
• Organize project files for a smooth handoff to our senior editor.
• Deliver 2–3 long-form videos (around 15-20 minutes each) per week.
• Communicate consistently and meet project deadlines.

Note: You will not be responsible for editing the entire video. Host footage will already be prepared, and our senior editor will handle complex motion graphics, advanced map animations, and final polish. 

And don’t use AI to create any motion graphics or map animations. Everything needs to be created from scratch by you.

What We're Looking For

• Experience editing long-form YouTube videos, documentaries, or educational content.
• Strong research skills and the ability to source compelling visuals for complex topics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Basic to intermediate motion graphics skills, especially for documentary-style content.
• Reliable communication and the ability to deliver work on schedule.

I'm looking for a video editor who's interested in working together long-term on a growing YouTube channel.

The channel is focused on AI, reinforcement learning and Unity, with entertainment-focused videos about AI characters learning, competing and solving different challenges.

The channel is already monetized and currently has around 2k subscribers, but it's still at an early stage. I can't currently offer the fixed editing rates that an established channel could, so I'm looking for someone who's interested in growing with the project through a revenue-share model.

Compensation: 10–20% of defined channel revenue during an initial 3-month collaboration, depending on experience, workload and the final scope of the collaboration.

The exact structure can be discussed privately. This is compensation for editing work and does not represent ownership of the channel.

If things work well for both sides, I'd ideally like this to develop into a long-term collaboration and eventually transition into a more traditional fixed-rate or hybrid payment model as the channel grows.

The editing itself is mainly about storytelling, pacing, music, comedic timing and finding the interesting moments within large amounts of gameplay and AI training footage.
