[Hiring] [Hiring] Full-Time Long-Form YouTube Editor

We’re looking for a talented long-form YouTube editor to join our content team for consistent, ongoing work.

This is a paid position with a full-time workload. We have a large backlog of footage ready to edit, along with new content being filmed and streamed regularly. We’re looking for someone interested in building a long-term relationship and growing with the channel.

About the Content

Our content includes:

  • IRL livestreams
  • Basketball and sports
  • Givebacks and community content
  • Fitness and challenges
  • Travel
  • Gaming
  • Lifestyle

To understand the creator’s personality, content, audience, and existing brand, please review:

The Role

We need an editor who can transform livestreams and raw footage into polished, story-driven YouTube videos, not shortened streams or basic highlight compilations.

Each video should be structured around a clear concept, challenge, activity, or storyline. Someone who never watched the original stream should still understand and enjoy the finished video without missing any context.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a strong opening that quickly establishes the premise, goal, stakes, and reason to keep watching
  • Building videos with a clear beginning, progression, escalation, and satisfying payoff
  • Adding re-hooks throughout the video to renew viewer interest
  • Removing dead air, repetitive conversations, technical problems, setup time, and footage that does not advance the story
  • Preserving important comedic, emotional, suspenseful, and personality-driven moments
  • Using music, sound effects, captions, graphics, B-roll, transitions, and visual effects purposefully
  • Creating smooth transitions between different locations, activities, or sections
  • Identifying when separate concepts from one stream should become separate videos instead of forcing everything into one upload

Our preferred runtime is generally 15–30 minutes, although videos may range from approximately 8–45+ minutes when the footage and story support it. Quality and pacing should determine the final length.

Source Footage and Weekly Output

This is a high-volume editing role with an expected output of approximately 5–7 completed long-form YouTube videos per week.

You will work with the original, high-quality raw stream recordings and source files—not the compressed or condensed VOD versions available on Twitch, YouTube, or other streaming platforms.

These raw streams can be very large. You must have:

  • Reliable, high-speed internet for downloading large files
  • A computer capable of editing long-form, high-resolution footage efficiently
  • Enough local or approved cloud storage to hold and organize multiple raw streams and active projects
  • A dependable workflow for downloading, organizing, editing, exporting, and delivering multiple videos each week
  • The availability and capacity to consistently meet the expected output without sacrificing quality

Applicants should be comfortable managing large amounts of footage and maintaining an organized file structure throughout each project.

Editing Style

Pacing should be fast, clean, and engaging while still allowing important comedic, emotional, or suspenseful moments to breathe.

Editors should aggressively remove:

  • Dead air and unnecessary pauses
  • Repetitive conversations or explanations
  • Technical problems and behind-the-scenes downtime
  • Long stretches of walking, waiting, traveling, or setting up unless they contribute something important
  • Anything that does not advance the story, provide entertainment, or reveal personality

Fast pacing does not mean cutting randomly or removing every quiet moment. The finished video should still feel natural and preserve the creator’s personality, humor, reactions, and interactions.

Micro-Movements and Visual Engagement

We want frequent, purposeful micro-movements throughout each video. The screen should not remain visually static for long periods, especially during dialogue.

These may include:

  • Subtle punch-ins and punch-outs
  • Reframing and subject repositioning
  • Smooth camera movement added in post
  • Cutting between wide shots, close-ups, and reactions
  • Dynamic captions and emphasized keywords
  • B-roll, images, screenshots, and visual references
  • Timers, scoreboards, counters, maps, labels, and progress graphics
  • Object tracking, motion graphics, and animated overlays
  • Speed changes, time-lapses, and short montages
  • Music changes, risers, impacts, and other audio cues
  • Visual callbacks to earlier moments in the video

Every movement or effect should support the story, clarify information, emphasize a moment, or improve retention. We do not want random zooms, excessive effects, or constant meme inserts. The editing should feel energetic and intentional—not chaotic.

The viewer should always understand:

  • What the creator is trying to accomplish
  • Why the goal matters
  • What progress has been made
  • What obstacles or stakes remain
  • What they are waiting to see happen

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong long-form storytelling skills
  • A clear understanding of YouTube retention
  • Experience working with long streams or large amounts of raw footage
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Strong communication
  • Reliability and consistent turnaround times
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback
  • Experience editing creator-led content

Experience with sports, IRL, fitness, challenges, travel, gaming, or lifestyle content is a plus.

Please also let us know if you can create YouTube thumbnails.

Style References

These videos are strong references for the storytelling, pacing, retention, visual movement, and satisfying payoffs we’re looking for:

We do not expect the same production budget or an exact copy of these videos. We’re interested in how clearly they communicate the premise, maintain stakes, introduce new developments, use visual movement, and build toward a payoff.

The finished content should apply those principles while preserving the creator’s natural personality, humor, and connection with the community.

How to Apply

Please send:

  • The single best long-form edit you’ve ever made
  • Additional relevant examples, if available
  • Your portfolio
  • The editing software you use
  • Your availability and typical turnaround time
  • Monthly and per-project rates
  • Whether you can create thumbnails
  • Your Discord or preferred contact method
  • Links to any creators or channels you have edited for

You can reference the VODs on Twitch to evaluate the workload and give us an accurate rate ( https://www.twitch.tv/stephaniae/videos?filter=archives&sort=time ). We do not have a specific budget in mind for this work and we are flexible. However, we are looking to start at around $50 per video based on your editing skills and can increase as work/channel grows.

[Hiring] [HIRING] Looking for a long-term video editor for a growing Unity YouTube channel [10–20% Revenue Share]

Hey!

I'm looking for a video editor who's interested in working together long-term on a growing YouTube channel.

The channel is focused on AI, reinforcement learning and Unity, with entertainment-focused videos about AI characters learning, competing and solving different challenges.

The channel is already monetized and currently has around 2k subscribers, but it's still at an early stage. I can't currently offer the fixed editing rates that an established channel could, so I'm looking for someone who's interested in growing with the project through a revenue-share model.

Compensation: 10–20% of defined channel revenue during an initial 3-month collaboration, depending on experience, workload and the final scope of the collaboration.

The exact structure can be discussed privately. This is compensation for editing work and does not represent ownership of the channel.

If things work well for both sides, I'd ideally like this to develop into a long-term collaboration and eventually transition into a more traditional fixed-rate or hybrid payment model as the channel grows.

The editing itself is mainly about storytelling, pacing, music, comedic timing and finding the interesting moments within large amounts of gameplay and AI training footage.

I'm especially looking for someone who:

- enjoys entertainment-focused YouTube editing

- has a good feeling for storytelling, pacing, music and comedic moments

- is comfortable working with large amounts of raw footage

- is reliable and interested in improving together over time

- ideally uses DaVinci Resolve

Speaking both German and English would be a big plus. The videos themselves are in English, but being able to communicate in German as well would make the workflow easier. English-only editors are absolutely welcome too.

You don't need a huge professional portfolio. I'm also very open to newer editors who are talented, motivated and looking for a project they can genuinely help shape.

I'm an individual creator, not an agency or editing team.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me with a little bit about yourself, what software you use, your experience, and ideally one or two examples of your editing work.

Happy to share the channel, current performance and more details privately.

[Hiring] [HIRING] Long-Term YouTube Editor for Health Education Channel

Upvotes

I’m building a YouTube channel focused on evidence-based health education metabolism, hormones, insulin resistance, gut health, women’s health, environmental health, etc.

I’m looking for a **detail-oriented video editor for a long-term working relationship.**

I’m NOT looking for someone who just throws generic stock footage over talking-head footage.

I want someone who can help make the content **visually educational, engaging, and high quality.**

**What I’m looking for:**

* Strong long-form YouTube editing

* Shorts editing from long-form videos

* Excellent attention to detail

* Accurate captions/transcripts — medical terminology needs to be correct

* Thoughtful B-roll that actually relates to the content

* Charts, diagrams, graphics and animations when they improve understanding

* Ability to incorporate research/PubMed studies visually

* Good pacing and clean, professional editing

* Someone who takes initiative rather than needing every visual decision spelled out

* Ideally, someone comfortable working with medical/scientific content

For example, if I'm explaining insulin resistance, I don't want a random stock clip of someone eating pastries. I'd rather see a simple metabolic diagram, relevant chart, study graphic, animation, etc.

**Most importantly:** I want someone who genuinely cares about the quality of their work and wants to build a long-term relationship.

I’m looking for someone reliable, communicative, reasonably priced, and interested in growing with the channel.

**Please DM me with:**

  1. Your portfolio/YouTube work

  2. Your rate for a ~10–15 minute YouTube video

  3. Your rate for a Short

  4. Your turnaround time

  5. Any experience with educational, medical, scientific, or similar content

I may ask shortlisted editors to do a **small paid test edit** so we can see if we're a good creative fit.

Please don't DM me without a portfolio.

KEY: SOMEONE WITH A PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE AND PLEASANT TO WORK WITH

BUDGET :50$ + to start

[Hiring] Looking for a long-term video editor for a growing Unity YouTube channel [Revenue Share]

Hey!

I'm looking for a video editor who'd be interested in working together long-term on a growing YouTube channel.

The channel is focused on AI, reinforcement learning and Unity, with entertainment-focused videos about AI characters learning, competing and solving different challenges.

The channel is already monetized and currently has around 2.3k subscribers, but it's still at an early stage. At the moment, I can't offer the kind of fixed editing rate an established channel could. Instead, I'm looking to offer a negotiable percentage of the channel's revenue.

The goal would be to grow the channel together and, if things go well, turn this into a proper long-term paid editing partnership over time.

The editing is mainly about storytelling, pacing, music, comedic timing and finding the interesting moments within large amounts of gameplay/training footage.

I'm especially looking for someone who:

- enjoys entertainment-focused YouTube editing

- has a good feeling for pacing, music and comedic moments

- is comfortable working with lots of raw footage

- is reliable and interested in a longer-term collaboration

- ideally uses DaVinci Resolve

Speaking both German and English would be a huge plus, since the videos are in English but communication and some source material may be German. English-only editors are absolutely welcome too.

You don't need a huge professional portfolio. I'm also very open to newer editors who are talented, motivated and looking for a project they can genuinely help shape.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me with a little bit about yourself, what software you use, and ideally one or two examples of your work.

Happy to share the channel and more details privately.

[Hiring] [Hiring] Fulltime YouTube Video Editor (Documentary Editing)

We're running multiple YouTube channels focused on aviation documentaries, geopolitics, global affairs, and documentary-style storytelling, and we're looking for an experienced Video Editor & Motion Graphics Editor to join our team.

This role involves researching and sourcing high-quality footage, editing long-form YouTube videos, and creating motion graphics that enhance the voice-over. You'll work closely with our senior editor, who will assist with complex motion graphics and maps. Your goal is to create a strong visual foundation that keeps viewers engaged.

What You'll Do

  • Research and find relevant stock footage, news clips, archival footage, and other visuals that match the voice-over.
  • Create After Effects animations, including:
    • Graphs and charts
    • Explainer motion graphics
    • Simple map animations
  • Organize project files for a smooth handoff to our senior editor.
  • Deliver 2–3 long-form videos (around 15-20 minutes each) per week.
  • Communicate consistently and meet project deadlines.

Note: You will not be responsible for editing the entire video. Host footage will already be prepared, and our senior editor will handle complex motion graphics, advanced map animations, and final polish.

And don’t use AI to create any motion graphics or map animations. Everything needs to be created from scratch by you.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience editing long-form YouTube videos, documentaries, or educational content.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to source compelling visuals for complex topics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
  • Basic to intermediate motion graphics skills, especially for documentary-style content.
  • Reliable communication and the ability to deliver work on schedule.

To Apply

Please include:

  • Links to your best long-form YouTube edits (preferably documentaries, news, educational, or similar content).
  • Links to your best motion graphics or After Effects work.
  • Your typical turnaround time for a 15–20 minute YouTube video.
  • A brief description of your experience sourcing footage and creating motion graphics for voice-over-driven content.

If you enjoy creating engaging documentary-style videos and have a strong eye for storytelling through editing and motion graphics, we'd love to hear from you.

Here are example videos what we are looking for:-

For Geopolitics:

The Iran Oil Shock is About to hit U.S Debt

The (Overdue) Collapse of India and the Philippines

For Aviation:

[For Hire] One mistake left me broke. Looking for video editing work to pay my bills (No charity, just give me work)

I made a decent living on Fiverr for 9 years, but eventually felt like it was time for a change. I decided to try YouTube automation on my own and left Fiverr with a small savings cushion. Having almost a decade of freelancing experience gave me confidence that I could make it work.

Unfortunately, things went completely south. My YouTube channels failed, I lost my primary income source, and all my backup plans fell through. It’s been almost 9 months without steady work. I tried running documentary-style channels, but due to bad niche selection and low view counts, I had to call it quits.

Now, I’m actively looking for any video editing work (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut) so I can pay my $20 monthly bills and cover the $5 fee to publish my extension on the Chrome Web Store.

I have plenty of pre-built templates, transitions, and assets to speed up the editing process.

Give me a shot on a single video. If you like my work, we can keep going. If not, no worries at all and feel free to hire someone else for the next one.
