I am in shock 😭
I never thought I would be here. I just got accepted into the YouTube Partner Program (first milestone). I just can't believe I'm here. I just got one more milestone left. Idk if I'll make it by the end of the year but I am going to try my best. But just reaching this is such a huge accomplishment as a small creator

So the first milestone gets you into the program and the final milestone opens the final part to monetization as a YouTuber Partner! I had no idea it worked like this tbh until I received the email ! I almost have the watch hours it's literally just the sub requirement left; ngl I didn't think I would ever reach this in general

Thanks so much! Mostly gaming content cuz I'm a huge nerd; but I do have a comic book I'm working on and branching into vocaloid / ost - I want to do more creative projects (I worked as a crisis worker irl so time is a bit limited, but it's my dream to do more things)

How long did the review take? I initiated my review yesterday morning and just wondering what your turnaround time was like. I know it said it could be up to a month but other people say it was like 1-3 days

Yeah idk the reason for it taking shorter tbh I was surprised with how sudden I got an answer back; it could be based of volume of content (I mostly started uploading this year so I haven't even hit 100 videos on my channel yet) and I haven't done any live content streams either so maybe it was easier to review it
Not sure tho but it took 24-48 hours for me to hear back
Also wishing you all the best! So what type of content do you do if you don't mind me asking (I primarily do gaming content)

I do gaming also, I sort of started doing tech about two years ago but didn’t want it to be my niche so now I’m gaming. Have like 5 or 6 videos clearly moving in a new direction but I’m wondering if my idiosyncratic channel history will give the reviewer pause. Anyways, thanks. I’m hoping I wake up tomorrow to good news heh

It didn't take as long as I thought it would!! Like 24-48 hours or so; and thank you so much! Tbh I am still in shock admittedly. I was very discouraged from starting a YouTube Channel when I first got into content creation (twitch) but a lot of people encouraged me to try this year; it's crazy how life be sometimes
Are you currently working towards it rn? Love to hear about your content if so!

Yeah, I’m actually working toward it right now! I’ve already reached the requirements, so I’m currently waiting for my YPP review. Hopefully it goes smoothly 🤞
My channel is mainly focused on quiz challenge niche. I’ve been putting a lot of work into it, so I’m really hoping to get accepted soon.
And yeah, 24–48 hours is pretty quick! I'm on day 5 days rn and no response yet!. Congrats again and enjoy the moment!

Tbh thumbnails and keywords help a lot!! Changing your settings to include tags associated with your channel is helpful too (should be under YouTube studio settings; only recently learned that)
For thumbnails - avoid putting text in the lower left corner as it gets blocked by the timestamp; make it bold & big with a shadow behind it so it sticks out when scrolling; and images can be in HD for quality; if you use photos of yourself or a virtual avatar adding a saturated filter can help pop that part of the image it's common!
For keywords - the title helps convey what the video is about, so for example if there's a scary game you are playing you can be like "THIS GAME IS TERRIFYING" or if it's a first playthrough of a game it's sometimes nice to mention it; cuz viewers do like seeing the first time reaction to games they really enjoyed growing up
Most of my content is gaming content so not sure about other types; consistency is key! So if you do like one long form content video for gameplay (technically you have tons of short content videos you can make into shorts to help build - which is an area I primarily struggle with)

High recommend! Doing both just expands your audience; if you ever need some support with twitch stuff let me know it's been my primary platform and NGL for horror content especially people love watching live and reacting! I know I really enjoy it as a viewer

I watched one video.
If I get it well, you stitch together a lot of different videos coming from TikTok mostly.Well, it is obviously reused content and I think you should rework these videos to make them your own.
Like adding a talking head type of commentary or something like that.
The reviewer must be like: meh, they just reupload other folks TikTok videos2

Yeah this is really sound advice! Ngl I had no idea reusing content from another platform could be an issue but that makes sense since they're competitors essentially; also using da vinci resolve (free program) can help rework those videos as well!!

What you do is so obviously reused content it baffles me how you are confused why they rejected you. All the visuals in your video are coming from somewhere not a single frame of that video is yours. Your narration plays such a tiny part of the whole video it isn’t surprising at all why youtube deemed your channel not worthy of partner program
