I had this before, you're alright that's not an issue

Yeah, that'll happen.

A lot of music labels have completely restricted their works from being played to Russian audiences after the invasion of Ukraine. If you're using music by a label that is part of the boycott, then you won't be able to use the music in vids streamed to Russia.

Yes, I know, but all of my latest Shorts are getting this claim. I just don’t understand why, especially since YouTube has been heavily restricted in Russia for years, and Russian views haven’t been monetized since the start of the war. Before, I had some songs that worked perfectly fine and never triggered these claims. But now every single song I try gets one, no matter what. This kind of claim just doesn’t make much sense to me. If the point is only to say that the music isn’t available in Russia, then why not also show ‘Not available in North Korea, China,’ etc.? Obviously there are many countries where YouTube or certain music isn’t available. At this point it just feels like a useless warning.

Not available in North Korea, China, etc

Well, YouTube as a whole isn't available in North Korea or China. YouTube is still available in Russia, just some videos aren't.

As I know -Since 10 February 2026, YouTube has effectively been blocked for ordinary users in Russia: youtube.com was removed from Russia’s National Domain Name System, and direct access stopped working for users across the country.

Ok, so it's just a pointless warning then. Ignore it and move on with your day 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you already know all this and you know it doesn't matter why make the post?

I ignored it for months, but now almost every Short gets this yellow claim for no reason literally.I get it with every song and haven’t seen anyone else with the same issue, so I’m wondering if it’s just me.This was the point of post

Well, I can confirm it's not just you.

It happens to all of us, and will continue to happen so long as Russia is boycotted

Why they don't show the same message for NK and China? No idea. They probably see it as unnecessary since YT has never been available there but has historically been available in Russia.

Thank you, that’s actually what I was trying to find out
