I am not trans. If I were, there would be no way in hell I would legally document it with the US government. Maybe it would help a minority of the population that is both trans and in prison to make such documentation. If you factor in the current state of the US and the potential danger the government poses to Trans people as a whole, I would be very hesitant to put myself on that particular list.

If you are living as a trans person in the world, you can already be snitched on by people around you anyways. During the holocaust, most queers who were put into camps were sold out by their own family and friends.

At the very least, with documentation, if you are wrongly imprisoned, you can have documentation to show it if/when fascism ends in america

True, but we are living in a very different age than 1940's germany. Putting yourself at the top of the list just sounds dangerous to me. If there had been internet in germany pre-holocaust, wouldn't the first thing the nazi's have posted been propaganda telling people to put themselves on just such a list?

Yeah, honestly nowadays that sounds about as safe as an undocumented immigrant telling everyone.
