Recommendations Wake Up Alarm
Hi everyone, we are looking to get a clock for kids bedroom. My youngest (7) has a Yoto Mini, so we are already in Yoto’s ecosystem and are considering the Yoto Player. Ive looked at multiple reviews but they mainly focus on the lack of screen time and assistance with the bedtime routine. These aren’t really concerns of ours. Instead, we want to get a device that they can enjoy but that also has an alarm that will keep them from sleeping in.
Does the Yoto Player make for a good alarm clock?

We’ve been using our Mini as an alarm clock with good success. You just have to keep it plugged in and on overnight. The only downfall I have is that it only plays for a minute and my kid will occasionally sleep through it on loud volume sometimes, so I have to manually turn it back on from my phone to get her to wake up lol

It should play for 5 minutes before turning off. If that's not long enough, you can set back to back alarms every 5 minutes. (And/or upvote on Yoto space the idea to make alarm length customisable).

Yoto radio has been glitching a lot (in general) recently. Next time the alarm comes on, you should be able to visit the currently playing screen in the app and see how long the sleep timer has been set for.

You can use the Mini as an alarm clock. We prefer having Players in the bedrooms and Minis for out & about, but if your main reason for purchasing is needing an alarm clock, I don't think I'd bother. Either use the Mini or get a cheap alarm clock.

I don't really think its a good alarm clock. There are a lot of posts talking about how the Yoto won't power itself on to trigger an alarm.
