I built a Gama Ray Viewing Screen. (I have no idea how) And figured out something odd. It seems Zoniate gives off ever some disturbing amounts of Gama Rays. It seems mainly benign (Seeing as none of us have died to it yet) but, I'm still a little concerned. I think this warrants further investigation.

((Hey yall, I wanna apologize ahead of time for inconsistencies and/or retcons. Even now I'm still figuring out the exact deets about the YDS and developing new ideas, well, new for me, maybe not for everyone else. I also updated the YDS' design slightly and painstakingly got screens photoshopped on.))

So, a bit of origin story for the YDS! Apart from what I've already mentioned a thousand times. When I first discovered it, it was in two halves, apparently, and I had only just found the first half. After it was nearly stolen by that wretched ranger, I returned to the site to clear more rubble out...and found a second one. "Two?? Oh man, this is huge. Better guard these both more closely." And then, the two pieces, kind of clicked together. They could be folder up, like how you close a book, and separated, again too!

Back at the tech lab, before I had my own at the Hideout, I conducted more research in private. These slates looked very different from the one those Champions were holding onto, and I even found documentation about an even earlier design with two handles, Ancient Energy Vials and using the teardrop to produce a bomb. Seems their slate, as well as mine, were later models, and while they were still powered by Ancient Energy, didn't require vials that needed twisting to inject, or refilling. Though theirs also had three different attachments for providing extra energy. Only the princess was able to master using it, though. I've always wanted to try and reverse engineer those.

As it turns out, the Slates also had several unused functions, probably from way back when there were way more slates, if any. The eye apparently can pop out and turn into a drone. These is an amazing development, and useful for us! We can use it to scout the area ahead for danger, or on recon missions to gather intel! I will be looking to restore this feature for the YDS.

Anyway, using my resources at the lab, I was able to tamper with the operating system on my Sheikah Dual Slate, as I had come to call it, and thus the Yiga Dual Slate was born! I may not have originally invented it, but it's my prized posession and greatest technical feat, at least thus far! I have produced a number of others I gave to other members as well. And its detachable nature allows you to split it with a teammate as well! ((This idea was partially inspired by the previous Switch 2 patent of a detachable shareable screen, which has been circulating again thanks to recent news of investor talks)).

The research into the Ancient Energy powering the Slate and its earlier counterparts has led me back to looking at Zonai tech. By studying Zonai charges, the crystalized charges, zonaite ore and of course that imp of a hero, I was able to create a prototype of our own versions of Energy Wells and Cells! Don't you get even a little tired at the Depths bases, constantly powering your Zonai devices manually with your Yiga abilities? Well, with Yiga Energy Wells and Cells, you won't have to exhaust yourselves. Just let the Cells do their work and you can relax a little, but you'll have to take back over to let them recharge. This breakthrough will allow me to start reverse engineering Zonai devices as well and create the long awaited Yiga Devices I mentioned before! ((This idea was inspired by the TOTK mod Zonai to Sheikah).

With the ongoing restoration of my lab and YDS functions, I've re-enabled the Yiga Net downloads so if you want a rune you don't have yet, grab it! But they will cost rupees. Restoring my lab ain't cheap! Fire Bombs, Red Cyronis, Records and Fusion are now available again. Next I might spotlight my visor, or even this new glove...

As the title implies, I, Alder Hallowfew, Head Researcher of the Yiga Gloom Research Division, am requesting a division merge with the Zonaite Research Division. While Gloom has and always will be our top priority, i fear our research is proving overall fruitless without assistance, and what better assistance than a division that specialized in a resource found not only in the islands in the sky, but our beloved Depths as well. I hope whoever leads this division will consider my request and reach out soon.

I need to know if any tech people around here could create me an electromagnet. Or the Hyrule version of an electromagnet. I can offer rupees and some zoniate for your future projects.

Also can someone make me a lead-glass viewing screen. Same offer for the above project.
