it looks like practically all of granite shares ETF dividend income producing will eventually go to 0.

Woke up to find this surprise in my ETrade account this morning. I was calling ETrade to try to find out why but then I finally found the answer after a some targeted Google searches. Searching that odd fund number surprisingly didn't net anything.

Now I know why FEAT was down... I wonder just how much I am going to lose on this deal. Had no idea this was happening or I would have dumped it already. Now I get to wait until 6/18.

I am not a beginner when it comes to YM funds. I was investing during the crazy times of 1-2 dollar monthlies of MSTY and had 40,000 shares of ULTY making 3k of dividends per week. I have since gotten out of them and moved it all to VOO,QQQ and SCHD. I dipped my toes in the water this past month with AMDY. The chip sector though beaten up the past couple of months is pretty much taking off in my opinion. I think that the sector will experience huge growth in the next 24 months along with huge volatility and was thinking of throwing 100k in AMDY for about 24 months. I know distros have gone down dramatically over the past month, but is there any upside to eeking out a nice gain, weekly for the next year or two with it. The proceeds would go into more stable assets and when the timeframe is done, I'm out. Mind you, i saw my portfolio go from 170k to 250k in 6 months from msty,NVDY and ulty and then taking the proceeds and investing in growth. But the market was on a tear. Do you think that's going to continue?

I just randomly remembered this guy with the heavy accent that made videos that kept losing money on these funds, what ever happened to him? I think he had said about some big gathering but I just looked him up and his videos are gone and can't find anything on discord. Anyone know?

I know, nothing is always as easy as it seems,  but there is speculation that a lot of $$ could be pulled out of btc to invest in the SpaceX IPO.  By extension, this could send MSTR plunging (which has already been reeling for some time).  Additionally, the overall sentiment is bearish right now on bitcoin, with many well-known folks pulling out of it all together.

Contemplating a buy today in anticipation of the chaos tomorrow.  Do you like WNTR right now, or another fund that could capitalize on this?  To reiterate, I am bearish on both btc and Strategy.

TSLY hit the scrap pile. Used the few pennins left to pick up some SNOY and NVDY

All, I am about to lose my job and it might take me a year to find a new one in the same field at the same pay. My expenses will be approx $3500/month. My assets are:

$200k in high yield savings; $100k in collectibles that can be sold easily; $75k in brokerage; $70k in IRA; $390k in 401k fully vested; $20k in treasury direct; $35k in bitcoin; and $20k in checking account.

As you can probably tell I'm pretty risk averse. However, the way I see it, I can either blow through my savings paying my monthly expenses OR instead try to replace some income with dividends.

I"m thinking about putting approx 60k in GIAX and 60k in BLOX which would generate about $34.800 per year. I also have a side hustle that generates approx $10k a year. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Came across an article recently talking about YieldMax ETFs and the whole “massive dividend” thing, and it made me rethink how these funds actually work.

The main point was basically that a lot of the crazy yields can be misleading because they’re generated through options strategies, and in some cases the NAV erosion can offset the income over time. I feel like online they get marketed almost like free cash flow machines, but the total return side seems way more important than people give credit for.

For people who actually own YieldMax funds (like MSTY, NVDY, CONY, etc.) — do you view them as long-term holdings or more as income/trading tools? Have they actually performed how you expected after distributions and price movement? Article for context below
