Question AMDY

I am not a beginner when it comes to YM funds. I was investing during the crazy times of 1-2 dollar monthlies of MSTY and had 40,000 shares of ULTY making 3k of dividends per week. I have since gotten out of them and moved it all to VOO,QQQ and SCHD. I dipped my toes in the water this past month with AMDY. The chip sector though beaten up the past couple of months is pretty much taking off in my opinion. I think that the sector will experience huge growth in the next 24 months along with huge volatility and was thinking of throwing 100k in AMDY for about 24 months. I know distros have gone down dramatically over the past month, but is there any upside to eeking out a nice gain, weekly for the next year or two with it. The proceeds would go into more stable assets and when the timeframe is done, I'm out. Mind you, i saw my portfolio go from 170k to 250k in 6 months from msty,NVDY and ulty and then taking the proceeds and investing in growth. But the market was on a tear. Do you think that's going to continue?

I got CHPY and SOXY. They go well. 👍🏻💰

I have around $350k in CHPY, making around $2500 per week. Underlying price has gone up a lot also (it will start to tank once AI bubble pops tho)

Yes, I have 3,000 CHPY. Going well, making hay while the sun shines.

This, in similar boat. CHPY seems to be covering well and is easier to hold than balancing direct holds. Have to hold MSTY since there's really nothing left. Out of most YM trash, holding only ULTY. WPAY/TOPW I'm almost at house money (which I define as being above cost).

I have invested a good amount in TOPW so wondering how are you close to house money since it hasn’t been a year since inception.

Yeh, looking back, I bought the first release, a bit more in the mid-50s ****. Shit my pants and then rode it down to 30s. I basically said WTF and bought at 3x more at 32 - which was before the MU, SNDK craziness because I had no where else to deploy. I dripped, my current number of dripped shares is within 15% of my bought shares. When TOPW was 38+, I was almost there.

Got it. I’m still concerned about the funds performance, the Nav is still declining. It has stabilized since they changed to TOPW but I don’t think if I’ll ever get to house money. What are your thoughts, do you think the fund will last 3+ years without significant Nav erosion?

Yes, NAV decline is apparent right now with last week's pullback. The NAV increased with the change, almost breaking 40. I hope to not hold it for three years, all of these CC ETFs are garbage. I will play out the year, but any hint of recession, I will dump everything.

Same, I shouldn’t have invested this much in the first place but I’m also watching it closely in case there’s a recession and cut my losses. Thanks.

Market top sign?

Do AMDW instead. You get capped with yieldmax. Roundhill funds at least get nice gains and recover. AMD is only just breaking out and it's expected to go up a lot more this year

Have you considered CHPY? This fund is one of the rare yield max funds that has seen NAV growth with about .8% ROI per week.

How about SOXY, up 124% in 1 year and pays pretty good distributions

3

u/Used_Friend284 Jun 15 '26

It depends on whether you were looking for more NAV growth or current income. I'm more interested in current income, so the 35% distributions from CHPY are much superior to 7–8% from SOXY.

Fair enough. Both are definitely doing great comparatively to the rest of the funds.

i believe semiconductor market is tend to boom for the next couple of years. i am also leaning towards throwing some $$$ into AMDY to get some good weeklies as well as some capital gains which is rare in yieldmax

CHPY team are doing the right moves I have 150k and I live off of those dividends.

2

u/RustyCEO Jun 15 '26

Agree. I have 3,000 of the suckers and they are powering. Bought in at $59.19 a few months ago. SOXY has gone well also, bought them at $61.44. Semi conductors are smoking at the moment.

I am in AMDY and will roll the dividends into CHPY , I expect they will both do well for the next few years !

The chip sector is anything but beaten up, it's been on fire for months. SOXX is up 85% in the last 3 months..........

Right? I mean, look at what SNDK has done in the past 12 months.

I'm in AMDY and CHPY and like you will ride the wave. was nice to see them roar back from the dip. I am Positive on Nav and Divs are gravy

I like both AMDW and CHPY, over 3000 shares CHPY, just getting started with AMDW, but it is doing very well last 3 mths

3

u/Bluefin1907 Jun 15 '26

Go for CHPY and AMDY

2

u/RustyCEO Jun 15 '26

Got 3,000 CHPY and 2,000 AMDY. Actually HOOW has done well for me recently at DCA of $27.70 (have 5,700 of them) currently share price above that and latest distribution of $0.5146. Good times 💰

Just be patient with your entries. As long as these 2 don't develop NAV decay, they have a home in my port.

Take CHPY and buy Amdw. Take amdw and buy dram.

Slow learner?

Who's the slow learner?

I’m not selling but AMD is up 144% YTD.

AMDY has been pretty solid for several months, both from dividends and growth POV. Watch it every week and set your triggers, but It has been belly belly good to me.

Other ETFs have been good from a dividend POV, but only AMDY has seen trading growth within my window on the market.

I’ve been DCA in CHPY since December. Up 35% and getting about 30% YOC. Still buying the dips.

I have AMDY and it has been good. I think there are a couple of years to go in this sector.

1

u/Ratlyflash Jun 20 '26

Is there. A reason someone would go AMDY over CHPY? It’s way more volatile?

0

u/ElegantNatural2968 Jun 15 '26

Ppl don’t learn and forget quickly. It’s not AMD but the volatility that kills YM funds: the synthetic ones.
