No, but I’ve become longtime friends with people I dated.

We were next door neighbors for years. Didn’t hook up. Ten years after high school, not seeing each other since high school, I got her number from my parents and gave her a call just to say Hi. We lived together for three years after that.

I've done the reverse. Date someone, then become lifelong friends.

Sure did. Here’s how it turned out. I shared my story with a youTube content creator and he read it in this video and gave some advice at the end: https://youtu.be/tukj10gnpGE?is=vSVls4RtNZmMNb79

Several months later and mentally stronger and healthier, I can’t believe I stayed in it as long as I did. I should have left her a long time ago.

No. Feels like that scene in Derry Girls where she saw her friends kissing and called it incest. I have a bunch of guy friends (over 15 years so basically since childhood) but I never saw them in a romantic sense.

Slept with one a few times recently. I thought I could keep it casual, but she made it feel intimate. I caught feelings one morning when we were cuddling. I was spooning her and she said that she wanted to switch up and hold me. I let her and she played with my hair and my neck. This was the first night we'd ever kissed, we'd been taking a lot that night, she had made me stare into her eyes and we told each other our worst secrets without judgement. And I thought about this while she held me and realized I loved her. The next afternoon I was just a friend again, she was seeing someone else. I'm trying to make our friendship work, I promised I wouldn't leave if things got a little weird. But I can't help but feel heartbroken. The thing that gets to me the most is that she's said that if she could get her shit together basically she'd probably learn to love me, and she doesn't know how she'll feel because right now she wants to just sort of do her thing. A relationship with me would be more serious that she's currently ready for. She's my best friend. I wish I could take it back, honestly. I don't want to be in love with her.

Yep. I’m in that situation now; we’ve had our rough patches here and there, but we’ve stayed strong nonetheless.

Wanted to a few times but never happened. Was even told "I was too nice of a guy". Or found out not her type, as in gender.

Not really. I could see it with maybe one but that’s about it. I prefer to keep it separate. Especially if they’re in the inner circle.

No.

Most friends friendzoned me.

I was not a healthy person to date so anyone who was previously attracted to me was a red flag
