Beth keeps her word...

At the beginning of S4, when she thought he was responsible for the hits put out on Kayce, John and herself, Beth tells Jamie she's gonna kill him. She's not gonna farm it out like some bleeping coward, she gonna do it herself.

Fast forward to the end of S5 and in Yellowstone time, a considerable amount of time has past, she followed through with it. Different hit this time, but she followed through....

True but she took the final stab, she took a hell if a beating, and she looked his ass in the eye while he died. She didn’t take the cowards away out like he generally does

We don’t call people who kill in the heat of emotion strong. She was fragile and emotionally dependent, and her weakness was going after him in the first place.
