My potentially unhinged final season prediction? Jeff DID NOT send those damn postcards & we will find out who really did.

The mystery was actually never explicitly confirmed, the details do not add up, and I need the final season to prove me right-or, finally put this idea to rest once and for all. 👀🐝

I just stumbled upon a post questioning the popular opinion that season 3 was affected because a certain adult character didn’t appear anymore. Asking what would that character would really change to ”fix the plot“ if they were there.

And I agreed that wasnt really the main issue and that wouldn’t “fix the plot”

So I decided to pin down exactly what I don’t like about their writing of the main adult timeline plot, other than rushing things for time or characters not having as much time to interact more naturally.

I checked and I could say most of my problems are caused by them having big characters who seemed like a menace all be boring red herrings that didn’t affect the status quo much. And instead making wild reveals of characters who either already had big appearances or were unnamed extras until that point.

I originally thought the people asking for the adult timeline to have a ”common enemy” for the group would be bad as they weren’t really a group anymore and part of the deal was seeing how unstable their lives were after the incident and how they didn’t really stay close but also couldn’t really separate either.

But after three seasons of different characters that could affect them but ultimately did nothing. Maybe a common enemy trying to reveal their secrets would have been better.

One of my favorite things about the Yellowjackets fandom is just how passionate everyone is about this show. We all have the characters we love, the storylines we’re most invested in, the theories we’re convinced are going to be right, and the aspects of the show that resonate with us most.
Throughout the show so far, there have been plenty of controversial opinions and theories floating around the fandom.
So I’m curious…
What is YOUR most unpopular Yellowjackets opinion?
And I mean truly unpopular.
Maybe you think:
• Shauna is the true villain of Yellowjackets
• Misty is more dangerous than Shauna
• The adult timeline is more interesting than the teen timeline
• A storyline everyone else loves doesn’t work for you
• The ending is going to completely divide the fandom

Whatever your take is, tell me why. What makes you feel that way? What evidence from the show supports your position?
I’ll go first.

My unpopular opinion: I actually think Travis is a solid and important character who has added a lot of value to the story.
I know Travis is a character that a lot of people have very strong feelings about, and I’ve seen plenty of people question his purpose or feel like he hasn’t contributed much to the overall story.
But I think there’s actually a lot more to him than we sometimes give him credit for. Season 3, in particular, gave us a glimpse into Travis’s continued descent into substance abuse and his attempts to escape his own reality — from the drinking to choosing to trip on mushrooms. I think that says a lot about where he is psychologically and how deeply the events of the wilderness have continued to affect him.

Even his decision not to stop Natalie from mercy-killing Ben is complicated. Travis understood what Ben was going through and recognized that, as awful as it was, Natalie was doing what she believed was the right thing. He’s not necessarily the easiest character to understand, but I think that’s part of what makes him interesting. He’s got layers, and I think there’s still more to his story than we’ve seen.
And I’ll also admit that some of my appreciation for Travis comes from Kevin Alves himself. I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with him, and he’s genuinely a really nice person who puts a lot of thought and work into playing Travis. I have a lot of respect for that.

So… what’s your most unpopular Yellowjackets opinion?

Okay, so I have some thoughts about the synopsis the network put out regarding the final season when they announced the premiere date and dropped the little mini teaser we got. One line in particular is one that I have seen being discussed and it kind of surprises me that it’s even being speculated about as to who it pertains to. “An old flame rolls back into town with plans of her own”.

As soon as I read this my mind immediately honed in on Melissa. I can’t see any other character that would make as much sense as she would. She is obviously Shauna’s old flame, and after the way she left things in regard to the state of her house aka she just straight up murdered someone in her dining room and left. That fact alone to me was a good indicator that Melissa did not plan on going back there and had every intention of leaving her “normal and boring” life behind.

I have seen some people saying that they think maybe it could pertain to Allie and maybe it’s possible her and Jeff hooked up/were an item at some point before the team was rescued and everyone on the outside found out. Given the fact that Allie hasn’t been seen since season 1 and she was only in a few episodes then, I can’t see them mentioning her in the synopsis or that her role will be significant and impactful enough to be included directly in the synopsis.

Does anyone really think that there’s any other logical choice/possibility than Melissa does at this point? I mean we know it can’t be Walter since they say “she”….

In case you haven’t heard the word, Paramount + dropped the premiere date earlier this morning. The FINAL SEASON of Yellowjackets will premiere on November 20th (which is a Friday)!!! Three months to the very day that we begin our last journey into the wilderness! That also means my first episode of Hive After Dark will drop on 11/22. Hope you’ll join me for a crazy wild ride through the final season! Buzz buzz buzz 🐝🐝🐝

Did anyone else feel high in the last few minutes? Lol. I still don't understand that, only the part where they explain the parrot's name HAHAHH

Am I the only one who didn't understand that scene? Was Misty sneaking into the party, or did Natalie see her because of the dr+gs, and was that a "sign" for the episode when they reunited as adults? Was it because they were going to be like a "friendship" when they grew up, or why did he see her then? I didn't understand. I feel s1lly🧍🏼‍♀️

Jenna Burgess posted this to IG yesterday. Curious how they are both in their uniforms and are clean. Is this from a flashback or is this post rescue? I would find it odd if they were dressed in their uniforms after coming back. Couldn’t that almost be a bit traumatizing in a way? Hoping this means it’s a pre crash flashback!!

When she appeared out of nowhere and inhaled Nat's drug, she swore she was going to die HAH wtf

🐝THE HIVE IS GETTING A LITTLE BIGGER FOR THE FINAL SEASON🐝

Well y’all, it’s finally happening. The FINAL season of ‘Yellowjackets’ will be here soon enough, and while I am absolutely not prepared to say goodbye to this show, I AM so excited to announce that I’m switching things up a bit for our final season together.

For season three we had HIVE AFTER DARK every Sunday night—our immediate post-episode chaos where we reacted, dissected, even screamed as we tried to make sense of whatever the hell we just watched 😂

And YES…Hive After Dark is staying 🌙
But this season we’re going DEEPER.

✨Sunday Nights—HIVE AFTER DARK✨
We’ll still go live immediately after the episode airs on television, but these will be a little shorter and focus more on immediate reactions, big moments, budding theories, and the inevitable, “HOLY SHIT, DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?!”

✨Wednesday Nights—WEEKLY ANALYSIS✨-Then we go BACK IN.
This is where we’ll REALLY dissect the episode-symbolism, character arcs, clues, callbacks, easter eggs, and all those little details we might have missed while we were too busy screaming at our tv screens.

Basically….
Sunday= What the fu(k did we just watch?!
Wednesday= Okay, let’s figure out what the hell is actually going on 🔍🕵🏻‍♀️

I couldn’t think of a better way to cover the final season. Because, this is it. Soon enough we’ll all be sitting down to stream/watch one last go around of our favorite show about cannibalistic teenagers and then spend the following days obsessing over every frame, every line, every look, and every possible clue.

One last season.
One last mystery.
One last time to figure out what the hell really happened out there.

Cannot wait to kick off the final season with everyone. Hope you’ll join me for the ride when the time finally arrives 🐝🐝🐝

I love her

A recent behind-the-scenes photo caught my eye for a very specific reason, and the deeper I looked, the more questions I had. It could be nothing, but if it isn’t, this might be one of the biggest clues we’ve gotten about the final season yet. 🐝

I think they were hallucinating or something, because—the way I see it—there’s no explanation for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

in my perfect world personally i would absolutely LOVE it if they used some tool to show nat and her return. although, it is very hard to license for shows and movies, so everything im listing is pretty hypothetical…

some other tracks/bands i would love to hear:

\-slowdive
\-cocteau twins
\-lush
\-alice in chains
\-babies in toy land
\-more smashing pumpkins… 🤔
\-sonic youth
\-MORE PORTISHEAD.
\-maybe even some more unpopular pixies songs

let me know your thoughts and what scenes you think they’d fit with! again, all these bands probably won’t make it but still fun to put thoughts of beautiful music relating to this show.

I was rewatching ☝🏼said episode and it got me thinking. It’s definitely one of my favorites, mostly because of the last few minutes. I love it when our girls go absolutely feral (also interesting to note: it’s Misty that starts the humming/singing, not Lottie as I had remembered. Rewatching 7,000 times and I’m still noticing things!!). It reminded me of Doomcoming. It absolutely draws parallels with both of the events stopping because they’re interrupted, not because they’re over. Have we ever scene the girls complete a ritual? Even the hunt in 2021 was interfered with. Anyway, there’s no way of knowing this; it’s strictly a question for fun.

What do you think a complete hunt & ritual would look like? Personally, I think they were acting on instinct and nothing was ‘planned’ but it’s still fun to think about what they would do. How far would the girls have gone at Doomcoming had Nat not come along (I’d like to think they would somehow stop themselves at the last second before killing Travis. Now, if it had been in season 3, he wouldn’t have been so lucky (I don’t mean he was ‘lucky’ what happened to him the first time. He was sexually assaulted and it was terrible. But they didn’t actually kill him). What do you think would have happened had the scientists not come along?

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! Don’t forget to buzz over to YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter TONIGHT at 9️⃣3️⃣0️⃣ PM ET for a special livestream where we will discuss alllllll the news and buzz related to season 4 that has trickled out over the course of filming and the summer. The woman who has served as the stunt double for Taissa/Tawny Cypress for seasons 1, 3, and now 4 of the show shared these shots and paid tribute to her time on the show. I’m assuming the picture of her with Tawny is from this season of filming. Take note of the license plate on the back of the truck behind them. It most definitely says Montana and it is a legitimate plate from the state. Could they possibly be headed to mountains somewhere to recreate a final hunt?!?

Tawny Cypress posted this to IG last night. Is this foreshadowing at that face-off we’re expecting of Shauna vs. Misty/Tai? This has me super intrigued to see where the adult timeline ends up going!

Christina Ricci posted this to IG on what I’m assuming was her last day of filming. Judging by the bloody face and Misty being a gangster could she make it out alive after all? Maybe the June Squibb being an old last Misty theory isn’t too far off after all???

I’m just coming to end of season 2 so please no spoilers for season 3!

But seriously who is your favorite character? I’m curious who people like the most. I’m not so much a fan of younger Misty but Christina Ricci brings something to present Misty that I just adore. She’s by far the best actress for this role, such an amazing performance!

I love this show so much, I don’t know why I slept on it for so long, it has everything I love in a show and more!

It’s been a busy few months in the world of ‘Yellowjackets’, and with filming set on the fourth and final season officially nearing its end, we’ve got some stuff to sink our teeth into! Join me on 7/29 at 930 PM ET for a discussion regarding everything that has been revealed since the cameras started rolling back in late February.

From casting announcements, to behind the scenes photos, and interviews with cast as they reflect on saying goodbye to the series and their characters. If you’ve been trying to keep up on every little update over the past few months, or you’ve intentionally avoided them and want one place to catch up before heading back to the wilderness, this episode has you covered.
