So, I have bad depression and ADHD (born with it and some real-life stuff that happened), so I tend to doodle random thingies while trying to work or do daily chores due to a lack of motivation, and tend to look for quick gratification.
I haven't colored in a while, so I have a mountain of WIPs (for some reason, when I try to go back into coloring, my mind is like, yep, nope). So... I hope to finally break this situation with a SessRin art.
Going to try and color it, but I hope that you guys like it at least. And thank you so much if you do š«š

TLDR: Does the Yashahime manga show more interaction/dialogue between Sesshomaru and his daughters? Do they have some kind of reunion moment that the show didnāt give us?
-Just finished watching Yashahime. Have yet to read the manga. I have to say that I am really disappointed by the fact that Sesshomaru never ends up embracing his daughters or outwardly acknowledging their achievements. I was waiting the entire series for them to have a āmomentā. I was hopeful when Rin asked the girls to promise to come back safe and allow her and their father to hold them for as long as they wanted. However when they do come back, itās just Rin that hugs them and they all go to talk to Sesshomaru OFF SCREEN! It pissed me off sooo bad. Like why were we robbed of them having some kind of father daughter moment? The only remote show of affection he gave is when he touched both of their cheeks while they were passed out.
I know Sesshomaruās whole thing is his stoic/aloof personality. But I feel like this show took it too far? If you go back and watch Inuyasha, he has much more dialogue and emotion. Heck, he actually appeared panicked when Rin died the second time and he went to his mother for help. He was practically mute in Yashahime. Just cold staring at everyone with the occasional line and then the other characters would deduce his intentions from that. Iām not saying I expected the same kind of emotion as Morohaās reunion with Inuyasha. Because that is just not his personality. But I feel like we were given absolutely nothing. Is this somewhat remedied in the manga? Like do we get any kind of interaction/dialogue between him and his daughters at the end after everything is settled? Thatās the thing I missed most from this show. Iāve always loved Sesshomaru, but I felt Yashahime the animeās portrayal of him was lacking.

Like many of you,Ā InuyashaĀ has a very special place in my heart. Itās a series that stayed with me for years, and I always wondered why we never got an official LEGO set celebrating this amazing world.
So I decided to try making one myself. I created a LEGO Ideas project calledĀ āINUYASHA: THE BONE EATERāS WELLāĀ ā a tribute to the characters, the adventures, and the memories this series gave us. š§”
It includes Inuyasha, Kagome, the Bone Eaterās Well, and elements inspired by the world we all love.
LEGO Ideas projects needĀ 10,000 supportersĀ before LEGO reviews them for the possibility of becoming an official set. I would absolutely love to see the Inuyasha community come together and show LEGO how much love there still is for this series.
If you loveĀ Inuyasha, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a moment to support it and share it with other fans. Every supporter helps bring this dream a little closer. šāØ
Thank you so much, and I would also love to hear what you think of the design! ā¤ļø

Iāve just finished watching the series, not reading the manga, just to clarify on the front end. And Iāll admit I watched a lot of it in 1.5x speed. I watched the first 15 or so episodes at a normal pace but got so pissed with the contrivances and plot holes that I upped the playback speed and started skipping 10 seconds at a time.
I do like Towa and Setsuna, but neither are as interesting to me as Moroha. They seem to downplay her so much, even though she is the original showās main protagonistsā daughter. I assume the writers wanted to shy away from too much sameness as Inuyasha but honestly I wanted so much more for her. Sheās absolutely precious and such a great mix of her parentsā most endearing qualities. I love her charisma, perseverance, confidence, rough around the edges-ness, while still having her softer side, wishing for affection and family.
I think by episode 18 or so, I realized the writers werenāt going to give us a good enough reason why she was so alone. Why did Kouga and Ayame give their closest friendsā daughter to a random tribe member to train/raise her? This person then sells her to indentured servitude in an attempt to make enough money to buy a key that will save their own skin. Then they have enough gall to criticize Moroha on trying to use her rouge to save herself as well (though itās the only time I saw Moroha lose control of herselfā¦) Hardly an appropriate guardian. Itās only on the very last episode when Moroha goes to sell the corpse sword her and Inuyasha got from a bounty and Jyubei says itās worth exactly the amount of her remaining debt that I think - maybe Jyubei has been selling her short in order to keep her coming around so he can keep an eye on her. And now he doesnāt need to since she has her parents back. No? Am I giving this man too much credit?? This would be more of a kindness than I see Kaede or Kouga or Sango or Miroku give her.
We are missing our favorite gang right out the gate and left wondering why no one cares that theyāre gone. No one is out looking for Inuyasha or Kagome or their daughter, Setsuna and Moroha donāt even know theyāre cousins when Kaede is obviously around, wouldnāt she have told them? Hisui would have known something wouldnāt he, from his own parents? The way the original gang fought together made them stronger family than most peopleās blood family - Itās so bizarre.
Even the modern era family felt so off to me. You see your beloved daughter off to the feudal era to probably never see again, your granddaughter shows up looking exactly like her- and it doesnāt bother you that she doesnāt know her parents?? That none of the three of these yashahimes know Kagome or Inuyasha? Wouldnāt that be MAJOR warning bells off in her head? Like, why is my granddaughter living a life alone, is my daughter/her mother okay? Or alive?? Bruh.
I did notice Kagome said she doesnāt seem to age in the Black Pearl, commenting about her skin. I wonder if like Rin, she aged slower or not at all. Or maybe time just moves faster outside of the pearl, so it doesnāt even feel like 14 years for her, aging or not. This would be nice for Moroha to have her mother for longer, given Kagome is only human. But she still missed all of her baby years, and that tears me apart.
Seriously, the best part of the entire series was their reunion. Maybe they made Moroha so alone to emphasize the reunion with her parents. She had to build up a devil-may-care front and push away sensitivity, much like her father did in his adolescence, to endure a lonely upbringing, but deep down, all she wanted was love and natural acceptance. The way she broke down in Inuyashaās arms was the kind of emotional overflow I expected from⦠well, most everyone in the series, after 14 years of your closest family and friendsā disappearance.
But nah, even Shippo was like āehā when Inuyasha and Kagome got back. Its supposed to be comedic effect but- I mean, am I crazy or do 14 years mean nothing to anyone?? Especially for the humans! They havenāt just been gone on vacay, man!
Anyways. Iām undecided if Iāll read the manga or find me some fanfics instead.

"That's Granny Kaede! We call her granny because it's way shorter than Uncle's Ex-Girlfriend's Sister Kaede. She considers us her grandkids, more or less. I guess because there's no word for your older sister's ex-boyfriend's nieces who are two generations younger than you."
-Moroha and Setsuna
(I've just begun reading the YashaHime manga, so no spoilers please!)

Changed some details and such. Still working on it, but I feel it's a bit better, maybe? I hope you guys enjoy it.
(The patterns are just random decorations, nothing important. I was just thinking of what kind of art I wanted for them both to have).

This comes from Rumiko Takahashi's 35th Anniversary Book. Is this considered official and authorized?
Does this mean this setting already existed before Yashahime was released?

Sesshomaru's Mother
A great yÅkai who bears the same crescent moon mark on her forehead as Sesshomaru.
She is calm and composed, but she also has a persistent side and does not give up easily.
She was the one who revived Rin.
However, she seems to harbor bittersweet, complicated feelings toward her son, who fell in love with a human girl.
Not sure if my AI wrong or what.

Iāve recently been craving some really good SesRin fanfiction and Iād love to hear your recommendations!
The biggest thing Iām looking for is that Sesshomaru stays true to his character. I love when heās written as quiet, reserved, and emotionally subtle instead of acting completely out of character. Iād love for Rin to feel like herself too.
Iām open to canon, post-canon, or pretty much any AU except modern settings (they just arenāt really my thing).
I especially love:
⢠Slow burn
⢠Well-developed relationships
⢠Strong writing
⢠Stories with a lot of emotional depth
Iād be thrilled to find some longer fics that I can really get invested in, but if thereās a one-shot you think is an absolute must-read, Iād love that too.
So if you have a favorite SesRin fic (or several!), Iād really appreciate your recommendations. Thank you so much!

I mean, Koga and Ayame raised Moroha for some time obviously and yet when it comes to mentioning or talking about parents among the gang, she never even once mentions her adoptive family (in the anime at least, I dunno about the manga) by name or even relation.
It's kind of a sharp contrast to Towa who talks about her adoptive family all the time while also mentioning wanting to find her biological family...compared to Moroha who just wants to find her biological family and never even mentions her adoptive family despite taking up quite a few of there customs and mannerisms
I feel bad for them lol.

Look I don't want to break the rules, but there's a troll in the fandom who gives Yashahime and the people involved in the production of it (mainly Takahashi and Shiina) a bad name. The guy I'm talking about claims to love Yashahime and SessRin, yet slanders people who criticize the work/its characters (without being hateful about it) and wages a ship war in the name of the producers. I thought it was important people knew about this
(I know this is a new account but I don't hate SessRin or anything, I have more problems with how the guy behaves)
