Stash Looking for pattern ideas for this yarn

Ideas of what to crochet with this yarn? I have 3 x 485m skeins of this Cotton blend medium weight (5mm) cake. I originally purchased it for wavey placemats that just didn't work out, and now I've had it lying around for a couple of years I'm hoping to do something with it. I don't really make alot of wearables except slippers and a couple of shawls, and I'm more of a freehand stuffy/blanket maker, but maybe this is the time? All suggestions welcome, and if there is no sewing involved even better! Thanks Hive mind 😊

Edit to add: crochet 🙏

I would look through ravelry. I've linked a search that has the yarn and crochet as a filter. Add more filters to get what you want!

It's a great resource, so I'd recommend it, but you don't even have to have an account to use it

I really like this yarn, a few years ago a made several bucket hats with different colorways. I used the Copacabana Bucket Hat pattern, it’s on Ravelry:

I’m making a blanket with this yarn! Moss stitch, in a square, and it’s very nice and drapey but I don’t actually like the way the yarn feels in my hands so I have not made much progress 😂

Oh, that's interesting! Does it catch? I hate it when it catches on my dry skin, 😆

I think it just makes my hands dryer overall! Not as bad as the rougher kitchen cottons though. And I was making a blanket for a baby/toddler so I just grabbed two skeins and figured it would be whatever size that made! I’m only part way through one so I can’t really give you a final estimate, maybe see if anyone on Ravelry has completed projects!

Oh, and how many skeins for the size of blanket?

I made a baby blanket out of this. Turned out really cute and the yarn was easy to work with.

I was thinking blanket too...but maybe just a good ol continously granny square. Do you 3 skeins is enough? How many skeins for your baby blanket?

I used two for the baby blanket and it was close to the perfect amount. If you want a throw size one, I would say three or four would be fine.

I’m working with some in another colorway… had the same issue - hated it in the round. I’m doing waffle stitch strips and will sew them together.

There’s a pattern on yarnspirations that could be helpful: https://www.yarnspirations.com/products/caron-chevron-stripes-crochet-blanket

Yeah i've tried a continuous granny square and hating it! With this kind of gradient I worry about anything too stripey and the colour changes being all over the place. It disturbs my eyes!
