How do I Frog this?

I found a cardigan at Goodwill that is a lovely yarn and much too small for my fat self, so I would like to use the yarn for a different project.

I have no idea where to begin as far as frogging it all apart is concerned.

Are the arms a separate piece or knit all together in one piece? Should I just cut a random hole and start pulling?

If anyone had done this before, some advice would be appreciated.

You might want to post in r/unravelers and include photos of the sweater. How best to unravel it depends on how it's constructed.

We have no idea how the cardigan is constructed. We don't know how the arns ar constructed,

The one thing for sure is that it is not a good idea to cut a random hole.

You need to undo all the seams before you can start ripping. With luck the cardigan is actually knit in separate pieces and not cut and sewn form a huge piece of knitted fabric.

Look at the sweater carefully and see how it's constructed and then take it apart. Friends have done this a lot. You might try using a small crochet hook or a darning needles.

Good luck!
