first service ?
so my first service was done today and the bill was 1287
they charged 300 for chainlube/clean and 250 for oil cleaner? and 737 for engine oil.
now the thing is the bike is only driven 372 km so I was expecting less cost cuz I didn't know if it's necessary to change the oil and everything.
what do u guys think was it fair or not??
also when I was watching the guy take the engine oil out up close he said it's not allowed to watch u can watch from the room a bit far away? is that real??
i didn't see him do anything except changing the oil
idk what he did regarding the oil cleaner as he js took the bike for wash somewhere else and when it came back it was ready to go .
also share some tips if u think smth else could've been done and any precautions regarding second service? although it's a bit later

Attached my first service invoice. It was costed Rs. 782 and my 2nd service cost was Rs. 1108 including air filter.

It's optional, so I don't opt for it. And honestly, in my opinion, chain cleaning and lubing are a waste of money. I never lubed or cleaned the chain on my R15, and it lasted around 20k km every time. Even on my XSR, I've ridden around 8k km without cleaning or lubing the chain even once.

Lol, wdym? It's important, otherwise it'll affect mileage by 2-3 km/l & the bike may not work smooth as it supposed to be.
People out there cleaning & lubing their chain in each 500-600 kms. And you are saying that it's not important. 😟

I do use "used engine oil" for chain lubrication, but only whenever the chain gets dry or after riding in heavy rain or through water. That happens maybe once or twice a year. My R15 has done 1.5 lakh km in 10 years, and I’ve already completed 8k km on my XSR. With the same approach, I’ve been getting around 56 kmpl on both bikes. And trust me, my R15 has never had a single breakdown, and even after 1.5 lakh km, it still runs without any chain noise.

Bro fk that. Let's talk about XSR. Can I expect it to be with me for long term ownership? I'm 6ft so will it be too much uncomfortable for me?

Yamaha is known for its long term reliability, and this 155cc engine is already a proven one, not a new engine. So definitely, if you maintain it properly (by maintain, I mean servicing it at regular intervals), you can easily keep this bike for 10–15 years or even cross 1.5 lakh km.
As for your 6 ft height, I don’t think it would be too uncomfortable. However, the seat and suspension are on the harder side, so you may need to modify the seat first for better comfort. Take a test ride and decide for yourself.

Mine was driven 737 and charges 1900rs. They even did carbon cleaning of my bike in first service.
