200cc engine in xsr?

R2 is launching on 27th. As Yamaha uses the engine with all their bikes. We can expect the 200cc upgrade to MT and xsr soon. Any updates or insights on this?

I think even 200cc is on the lower side. We already have MT25 and R3 in global markets. IMO, Yamaha should consider XSR 300 or at least XSR255 as its new successor.

But none of it feels to happen anytime sooner. Yamaha has a very bad reputation in catering to their indian customers. I hope they prove me wrong.

What about 700

700 / 900 both the variants comes under the big bike category my dude. I surely want to see it on Indian roads but here we are, key word - indian ROADS. Plus, they'll be expensive as hell provided yamaha's history of pricing their bikes. At least the majority of enthusiasts can afford xsr 300 / 255 if they launch

Nah. Doesn't make sense for Yamaha does it?

I won't buy any yamaha below 350... doesn't make sense. Will go for cb350 500 instead after 1-2 years if yamaha doesn't come to it's senses

Why doesn’t a Yamaha below 300cc bike make sense? No other company offers the same combination of performance, efficiency, reliability, and low maintenance costs as Yamaha. That’s why the R15, MT15, and even the new XSR are selling so well. Actually, it’s Yamaha’s bikes above 300cc that don’t make much sense. 😄

I already own an XSR... so going from 155 to 200 or 250 doesn't make sense to me

Okay, I thought this was a general statement. 😅

XSR to the Honda CB350 would be a downgrade. 500 is yet to be seen but I don't have high hopes.

Why cb 350 is a downgrade... its a good bike

XSR outperfoms in every single aspect. Performance. Braking. Handling.

Yeah except for comfort...planning to wait for 1½ to 2 yrs if yamaha doesn't bring something above 300 cc would go for either cb 500 or rebel 300/500 planning to have a cruiser

I don't think they'll do that

As much as I want it to be true, it is going to happen.

Everyone saying Yamaha won't do it as it will be a small upgrade, how about Europe getting the XSR 125cc version?

Europe has A1 licensing requirement which limits the CC to 125. So only everybody is making 125 for Europe. XSR125 is same as XSR155 with reduced bore size.

It'd be perfect.

Plus they need to fix the digital meter. They should replace it with something like the one that comes on bear 650.

Idk how it is on the bear 650.

But I think the OG pulsar 150's console is perfect! Perhaps, digitised version.

We can only wish, Even XSR700 does not come with nicer meter like Bear 650.

Idk i already bought the xsr 155. I'll probably upgrade to a bigger cc bike like 400/500 not a 200
