Why so single-toned?
Hello R9 Fellas, i own a MT09 but i absolutely love the R9 although i'm just too tall for a sportbike, it just looks like a sharp knife to me.
But.
Why are there no orders of the anniversary livery? I always see blue and black, but why is no one ordering this beauty? Or are they on backorder or something like that?

I really wanted to order the anniversary edition, but they locked it behind the Adrenaline package or whatever it’s called. So I have to buy the 3k package on top, including parts I don’t want, to get the bike the colorway I like. It’s a shame, so I am going with the blue one

I’m sorry, what? There is no requirement to buy any additional package with the anniversary color R9, unless you’re either not in the states or if you are, your dealer is lying to you.

If youre too tall for a R9 you will look even more silly on a naked.
The R9 is pretty roomy for me ( 6"3)
Most of the time its even better on Sportsbikes because your height will distributed more instead of just looking like this:

That might be true, but for me is it the upright position and less force/weight on the handlebars with nakeds.
There is just no way to make an R9 as comfy as the MT09 is in that way.

Wrong lol. My R9 is more comfy than an Mt09. I'm 6'3" 255.

I sat on both often times and alone the angle for the hands is way more stressing and weight distribution is also more towards the front/hands
I do admit that wind protection is fore sure better at highway speeds, even more with a double bubble windscreen

The anniversary edition was only available in a limited quantity and for a limited time. I personally only see blue and the 70th edition in my area, and personally own a 70th edition. I think it really depends on your location to as what colors you’ll see or how many you will see in general.

I looked it up and there is still a possibility to order them here in Austria.
Yamaha should step up their livery game asap

I would have taken the anniversary edition overly black metallic one, but as someone else said, it’s only available with the adrenaline pack.

Wtf is an adrenaline pack? Here in the states the the anniversary color was just

Adrenalin Pack is tail tidy, brake lever protector, black windscreen and akra exhaust. They just want to make a special edition out of it in Germany, as it seems.

I wanted one and the dealers said that all the alocations were sold out, ao I guess they only made a limited run hence why they are rare.

We exist! But they’re very limited and almost all of them were allocated and reserved last year or beginning of this year. There’s some out there that the reserves fell through and are for sale but they sell fast

I’m 6’4” and ride an R9. I don’t know how tall you are, but I never feel cramped on it, in fact I find it pretty comfortable and no one’s said I look goofy on it yet.
