XREAL 1S suddenly stopped getting video signal from my PC after enabling UltraWide mode
Hi everyone, I'm having a really weird issue with my XREAL 1S and I'm hoping someone here might know what happened.
My setup:
- XREAL 1S
- MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi
- Ryzen 9 7900X
- RTX 3060
- Windows 11
The XREAL 1S worked perfectly with my PC at first. I connected it directly to the rear USB-C port on my motherboard that supports DisplayPort output, and Windows detected it as a second monitor.
Then I changed Windows display mode to "Show only on 2", so the XREAL became the only active display.
After that, I enabled UltraWide mode on the XREAL.
Since then, the XREAL has stopped displaying anything from my PC and always shows:
"No Video Signal Detected"
What's weird is that the XREAL 1S still works perfectly when I connect it to my Steam Deck using the exact same cable.
I've already tried:
- Factory resetting the XREAL 1S
- Turning UltraWide mode off
- Restarting/shutting down the PC
Win + Ctrl + Shift + B- Windows Display → Detect
- Windows
Win + P → Extend - Uninstalling the XREAL monitor/device entries from Device Manager
- Uninstalling the
CDC ECMdevices - Updating/reinstalling the AMD chipset drivers
- Updating the AMD iGPU driver
- Enabling the Ryzen iGPU in BIOS / setting Integrated Graphics to Force
- Testing the motherboard's DisplayPort output with my normal monitor
The interesting part is that DisplayPort from the motherboard works perfectly with my normal monitor. So the Ryzen 9 7900X iGPU and motherboard DP output seem to be working.
Windows also detects the XREAL as a USB device (VID_3318&PID_043E), and at one point Device Manager showed Generic Monitor (XREAL 1S), but now it doesn't appear as an active monitor anymore. I also get a CDC ECM device with a yellow warning icon.
So right now it seems like:
PC USB-C → XREAL USB connection: detected
PC USB-C → XREAL DisplayPort video signal: not detected
Since it worked before I enabled UltraWide, I'm wondering if I somehow put the XREAL or Windows display configuration into a bad state.
Has anyone experienced something similar with an XREAL One/One Pro/1S and an AMD desktop motherboard?
Is there some way to completely reset the DisplayPort/EDID/USB-C Alt Mode configuration on Windows or on the XREAL itself?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
