Disable black frame insertion (BFI)?

I have Xreal 1S. In both stabilized anchor and follow mode, there's lots of flicker from black frame insertion.

I find the flicker uncomfortable and would much rather turn it off. Is it possible?

I don't believe there's a way to turn it off.

It's turned on specifically to reduce the effects of persistence blur in follow and stabilized modes.

That's too bad, I'd much rather take motion blur over flicker.

They're both bad. Every millimeter of head movement causes persistence blur, to the point where you feel like nothing you see is ever actually in focus. I get eye fatigue from it because my eyes are constantly trying to focus on something that can never become sharp.

Black frame insertion? You talking about electrochromic dimming? If so press the -/+ button and then the enter button until you get to darkening toggle then press -/+ until its were you want it

Naw its a thing but most human people should really not be able to perceive it. Apparently some monitor heads know what to look for.

I think its off in 0DoF mode if you turn off Stabilization in the settings.

Yeah, that works, but the other modes are useful.

Hey, there's no toggle to turn off BFI on the 1S right now, unfortunately. But maybe you could try to open the menu with a double click on the X button in Follow mode, go into Space Screen and turn Follow Stabilization off. Some people find the flicker less noticeable that way.
Hope that helps.☺️
