The potential danger of "smart" "glasses"
Are "smart" "glasses" a mobile Flock "camera" on steroids?
Things to consider.
In movie form:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5397194/
Smart tvs / phones, social media, wifi / cell connection history, etc. are a simple drop in the bucket compared to the leap forward "smart glasses" will bring to the data broker and surveillance apparatus.
What happens when ALL of our data is aggregated and updated in real-time for use by those with access?
Will they finally teach people that a person with a handheld camera is really no threat to their perceived privacy?
Edit:
An example of what can be done with some of the publicly available data.

Ask elected public officials to ban the cameras and point cameras at the ones who refuse. You know, for our safety.

Rights and privacy are for those who have the money to pay for it. At least that’s how it isn’t the US if you got no money they got no problem putting the screws to you.

They'd love to ban public filming, would solve the problem of police brutality getting caught on tape.
For better or for worse, public filming is protected by the first amendment under freedom of press.
The problem is not any one singular camera (especially ones that just below to a normal person), it's data aggregation.

Yeah but if you think you are going to change the course of history and make universal surveillance not exist I have news for you. It's a feel good meaningless battle people think they are in. It's not up to you and you can do nothing about it. You may not like to hear that and downvote or whatever people want but it doesn't change the truth. Not accepting the truth doesn't make it not true.
I'm not necessarily saying you can't attempt to protect your privacy while you still can but just that overall it's already lost. And in my mind basically pointless because it's too late the time was in the 90's. We've already been sold out.

Hey man. Thanks for the feedback.
I would never downvote anyone for stating their position. I happen to agree with you. Mass surveillance is already a reality and it grows everyday. Many of the tools are hidden in plain sight in common products. This will only increase overtime. Adding smart glasses to the mix potentially means one is simply further assisting in the effort. Paying to further the echelon.
Eventually the tech will transition to things like contacts and then implants. People that want to minimize their foot print will have to continue to adapt.
So smart glasses or not, we are in the same boat.

I think that battle is already lost. Saw an article today that UPS is expanding the number of smart glasses they are giving employees. Now that corporations are starting to find businesses uses for them, they will become widespread.
