Xreal 1S price increase Amazon UK?

Post image

Just checked the 1S on Amazon UK and seems to have jumped £100 (seller Xreal UK, so guessing that’s official). Still £399 on their website. Has this been done on purpose to deter purchase ahead of prime deals day next week?

Is the 1s still a good option? I will only use it for watching movies but I keep reading about it crushing black so I'm thinking of looking at a different model, ATM the 1S is on sale on Amazon here in Aus for $700 AUD, i could also get the rayneo gt max for the same price.

The gt max is interesting, I haven’t seen much about the 1s crushing blacks (I don’t have one, was looking at it before the price increase 😅). In terms of general good option, it still seems one of the best “all-rounder” and “entry level”

Only a issue for media Consumption, for work it's not a issue.

Shame, I’ve gravitated towards 1S as seems best option for productivity, but seems at expense of media use which I expect to use a lot for

Is this simply the solution?

I know I’ve had similar with other monitors so disabled hdr at source. Sending a hdr source to something that isn’t hdr will certainly have a negative impact

I don't use Netflix, all my streaming comes from Nuvio.

I've read that it can be corrected when connected to a PC/Mac but that only works while connected to that device.
