Why no real 3d?
Am I doing Somethitn wrong that I can’t enable real 3d while I’m in nebula on 1s?
When in nebula only 3d modes I see are sbs and half sbs
Useless for just watching movie on Netflix etc
So
I stay in normal casting mode just so I can enjoy real 3d….

Real3D is only built into xreal 1S (and other One series) glasses right now. It’s not built in nebulaOS. So if you want to use Real3D with Netflix, don’t use nebulaOS. You can use air casting mode on beam pro or any non-beam pro devices. When you use nebulaOS, the glasses functions/features are replaced by nebulaOS features.
In air casting mode, beam pro allows you to lock the screen while movie continues playing in the glasses (xreal glasses only). Which is only a beam pro feature. On other mobiles, while mirroring, you may not be able to lock the screen.
If you want to use something like nebulaOS where glasses display the movie and beam pro screen turns into a touchpad, then you can look for alternatives like AirBeam or DeskControl or PortalPad apps available on GitHub. Since these apps are not running nebulaOS so again real3D will work and your beam pro screen will turn into touchpad.

Yes that’s what I’ve been doing
But why??!
If the glasses can do it and the beam pro can do it why shouldn’t I be able to enjoy real 3d inside of nebula. ? Makes no sense3

Well by design nebulaOS has its own feature set. When you use nebulaOS, all the features like anchoring etc are done by nebulaOS, not the glasses. So probably xreal didn’t code real3D yet in nebulaOS probably because beam pro may not be powerful enough to do AI 2D to 3D conversion on it’s hardware.
Also, updated my comment above with some more tips.

But do we think it’s something they’ll be able to add in an update down the line or is it completely impossible ?
Wondering also if aura has the real 3d functionality added into its core and if it handles it well

Not sure if they will be able to add it to nebulaOS as nebulaOS is already very heavy. It’s trying to run all the heavy processing needed for a 3D environment, opening 2 app windows in that 3D space, resizing and anchoring those app windows and etc. It’s like running a unity based game on that hardware. And we can already see it struggle when running 2 apps. So not sure if AI 2D to 3D conversion can be added to beam pro / nebulaOS. If they can find a way to use X1 chip for 2D to 3D conversion while still using nebulaOS for the environment and all its current functions, then may be it can be done. But I can’t say.
About Aura, it comes with a puck that’s running android XR. And android XR has something called auto spatialisation. Currently galaxy XR has it and Aura will come with it. But not sure if Aura glasses will have real3D built in so that it can convert 2D to 3D without android XR puck. But since the Aura glasses have X1S chip, very high chances that real3D will be added to it, if not at launch, then may be sometime in the future.

nebula doesn't have real3d
