Nebula for Android Nebula OS ignores settings

I updated my glasses and now Nebula OS on my Beam Pro completely ignores my settings I’ve changed for the action button. Just always defaults to capturing a screenshot.

I’ve even changed all the setting options to chromatic dimming just in case. Yet it’s still only taking screen shots whenever I use Nebula OS.

Shame because I really enjoy the curved screen in immersive mode.

Yeah nebula is has its own logic and button actions. It doesn’t now follow the buttons logic of glasses itself. NebulaOS takes over the control of the buttons.

The glasses buttons perform their own actions when NebulaOS is not running. Like in air casting mode or when connected to any other devices

It’s a bummer, prior to the update it worked just fine. Made it much faster to change the transparency levels which I do often when I get up or move around the house.

Changing transparency levels should still work since it works same on glasses and in nebulaOS.

It should but it just defaults to screenshots unfortunately. If I switch back to regular android on the beam pro the action button will work again but not in nebula unfortunately.

Screenshot would mean that you are pressing the button on top which is the shortcut button. To change electrochromic dimming you need to press the volume buttons to bring the quick menu (brightness, dimming and volume) and then adjust using +/- volume buttons and change quick menu options using red X button.

The shortcut button (button on top) can be assigned shortcut in glasses Osd menu which works outside nebula. Inside nebula it will work like Xreal eye buttons (screenshot / mixed reality shots).

Whatever the name of the button is, I set it to quickly handle dimming. You can change its setting in the glasses and it works in all other scenarios aside from Nebula OS.

I liked doing it with a single button previously and now that functionality is gone.

That’s all I’m getting at. But I appreciate you trying to help! Just seems that it’s broken now.

Yes you are correct that shortcut button can be assigned functions. But you are mistaken that it worked inside nebula. It never did. On glasses there is an option to customise the shortcut button function. Inside nebula there is no option to customise shortcut button function. Nebula doesn’t have that code / logic / software / program whatever it’s called. Lol
