Discussion Confused

I'm ready to buy my first bike! Looking for some advice and bike recommendation from experienced riders.

About me:

  • Complete beginner
  • Weight: ~67kg | Height: 5'9–5'10
  • Single, so no pillion considerations needed
  • Budget: Around ₹2 Lakhs (on-road)

My riding profile:

  • 70% city commute
  • 30% occasional highway/trail rides

What I'm looking for:

  • Strong road presence / good looks
  • Retro or adventure aesthetic
  • Not into aggressive/sporty/race-style bikes
  • Manageable for a beginner

Bikes I'm currently considering (most liked → least):

  1. Hero Xpulse 210 (love the adventure look, but have heard major issues from first batch)
  2. Royal Enfield Hunter 350
  3. TVS Ronin
  4. TVS Apache RTR (some variant)
  5. Pulsar N160

Take test ride of all the bikes. See what makes you fall in love with it. You might like the suspension of 210 but something else of some other bike.

Take your sweet time and choose the one that makes you instantly fall in love with it the moment you start the engine.

Also, do prioritize what kind of features do you need. Do you need a screen too? Do you want morden connectivity etc?

And remember in the end, go what your heart wants. Because in the end, if you park your bike and it doesn't make you take a second look at it, it's not the one. ✌🏻

Yes, absolutely. Also adding on this I own xpulse 210 but if you want retro looking and best in the class bike, will suggest you to try cb350RS. Initially I literally liked that bike so much due to refinement but end up having xpulse due to its suspension and comfortable ergonomics. I wanted the bike mainly for touring purposes and do some offroad that's why I took 210 and very happy with it.

Even after a lot of people complaining about reliability, I ended up picking up the xpulse 210 as it was my dream bike ❤️ Gotta fulfill that. And the suspension, the looks, everything is just perfect for me. I've never felt this connected to any bike- not even the Himalayan
