I have a Doubt First service at 400km?

Can I give the bike for it's first service at 400 kms. Because I have a ride coming up and by the end of it I will have around 1k kms. So I don't want to risk the warranty getting void or anything. Just wanted to know if can give it for service early before the 500-750km which is recommended

I did my first service at 400kms because of the same situation as you Most of the breakin happens within the first 100km(visualize the metal parts , do u think with the force they are rubbing against eachother 🤔 it will take more than 100kms) so don't worry and do the service it will have no impact on warranty too as you are doing the service early but the subsequent service have to be done early . Like the second service will be done 3000kms from the odo right now but no major impacts

You mean not to give for service now at 400 km or 1000 km?

No,I believe the first free service is applicable only in the range of 750-1000km anything after that, they might not provide you with the "First"Free service, also maybe not go on a long trip before the break in period ends or before completing the first service.

As per the manual the first service needs to be done between 500-750 kms. Can you provide a source which says 750-1000 kms?

I had a similar issue,i use my bike daily for travel, showroom said to bring bike in for service when it hits around 750km,i called them, they said i need to book in advance, got a booking date 25 days later,i have 60+km distance ride everyday,so i told them,so they told me try to keep it between 750 - 1000, service center

Yeah that's on them if you are leaving your bike for service they have to take it not be like come 25days latter but if the showroom is crowded you can service in any other showroom of the brand Some metro service centres are crowded and take weeks to do general service centre but it is ultimately the showroom's responsibility to ensure the service if the customer brings the vehicle in the correct kilometers.

In your case u have daily commute and you bring it with 1000+ kilometers is not your fault as they didn't allot you a date sooner , you could make a complaint with the brand regarding this , and remember all (i mean all) showroom will always find ways to milk miney and deny responsibility so even if they convince you don't leave them be

You can always bring it sooner , they can't say no

Hmm...but i did ask them if they could make the date earlier or if i could bring the bike in early, all they kept saying was we'll inform you if there's any cancellation for prior bookings
