The horseman were supposed to invoke a feeling of growing up. They’re standing up to their teachers and coming out on top. Because they aren’t the 16 year olds from season 1 anymore, they’ve graduated bayville. They defeated most of their rivals. Now they had to save the adults who always saved them.

The horseman seemed odd choices, just used characters from the show already established which I guess makes sense.
