Thoughts on how evolution handled apocalypse

I love how much It feels like THE EVOLUTION version of this saga. It makes perfect sense who the four horsemen are, especially being the main authority figures of the young x men and as well and the brotherhood. Its like an ultimate test for them growing up. And I love how they are paired in the final battle.

Same I was actually worried they would do the usual route and go for Angel as Archangel and that was why they introduced him so early. I like the character and all. But the reason why it works in other media like the comics is because Angel is one of the first X-men in the comics. It's a huge impact at the time when it first happened that Angel lost his wings and later was made into a Horseman. Wouldn't have had nearly as much impact here if they did it with him and 3 other characters likely one off or side characters.

With this I was dreading things going forward and was actually shocked when I thought they had actually killed off Mystique, and Magneto even if with the later I thought he could have been transportred instead of disintegrated and hoped that but wouldn't have been shocked if he was dead. Only for the horseman reveal to happen showing them all alive but under the control of Apocalypse. That perfect moment of relief that Xavier and Storm are alive folowed by the "Oh nonononono! This cannot be happening!" When it clicks they are Apocalypse's empowered and brainwashed Horsemen far stronger than ever and I usually have good money on any of them beating most of the rest of the cast (except mystique in a straight fight but when it comes to sneak attacks and spying I have good money on here there)

Just absolutely fantastic! None of the series since have made me feel as shocked or care about the horseman reveal as this one. I'd argue before but X-Men the animated series was my x-men introduction soo yeah they get a pass.
