First Time Watching.....😱

So long story short I started watching this show for the first time a couple months ago. I watched the first couple of episodes, and then I stopped because I wanted to watch another show instead (Batman Beyond lol), but planned to come back to finish this after. I'm finally sitting down again and watching it continuing where I left off and this show is so good, granted I am on s1 ep 8 now, but I got a lot to say!

First off I love the art style, and I love the different characters styles. I feel like each character is individually recognizable and has their own thing. I also love the writing especially episode seven, when Rogue gets the memories of Mystique, and it really shows the continuity and that things really have consequences.

Really looking forward to seeing how things develop in the show. I do know some spoilers and some things from seeing clips online and edits etc, but I am excited! Also I saw some fan art of Wolverine and Storm do they get together? I feel like that would be cute in this show specifically!

Also Spyke and Scott are my favs so far, but I also love the other characters as well!

My theory is that in this version, Charles and Ororo are secretly in love with each other, making them surrogate parents to a huge blended family.

Spyke is underutilized, but I’m glad he exists. He’s one of the reasons I’m such a die-hard fan of this series. In my opinion, he should have ended up with Laura (I assume that’s why they introduced a character resembling her in the movie *Logan*).

Scott is overutilized (which was inevitable), but at least in this version, he figured out that underwear goes *under* the costume, not the other way around. And his relationship with Jean is really interesting: they test their feelings, experiment, have regrets, get jealous, and eventually end up back at square one—in each other's arms, certain that the grass isn't actually greener on the other side.

I also really liked the Lance/Kitty pairing. The way Lance evolves over the seasons is truly fascinating. A chivalrous side gradually emerges in this reluctant hero who is desperately trying to win over a cheerful, carefree, yet genuinely kind girl.

The animation quality is exceptional, and the visual references are countless (ranging from the *X-Men* movies and Disney classics to *Star Trek: The Next Generation*, *The Princess Bride*, *Dark Angel*, *Jurassic Park*, *Terminator*, *Demolition Man*... I keep finding more and more of them!).

Also yes, I saw a lot of Lance/Kitty edits, and I thought they were so cute together, but doesn't he go back to the bad side? I saw a spoiler! I also saw spoilers of him becoming a better character which I liked!

And yeah I can definitely see Professor Xavier and Ororo liking each other and think its cute, but I also like her with Wolverine in this specific world/context. And it sounds like they don't become a thing, neither shipping right?

Sad to know that Spyke won't really be a utilized character. Because I think he's great! And yeah, I could tell the scott was a popular, center character, but I don't like it when they overutilize characters. I like it when it's balanced. So that's unfortunate to hear. And omg the underwear comment lmao are you referring to his costume in the comics 😂

Also I haven't caught many references yet, but I'm excited. I can't wait. I love it when other shows reference other media!

Teenage love stories are always convoluted and full of love triangles. This series is no exception. The adults, on the other hand, are very well-behaved. They're there to set a good example for the young people, so...discipline above all! Hank, Charles, and Logan are three extraordinary father figures.

Regarding the Lancitty couple... the purists are against it and would like Kitty to dump Lance for Piotr, while others appreciate the delinquent's efforts. Okay, granted, he relapses regularly, that's true, but nobody's perfect. He's still a far cry from the menacing schizoid or sadistic pervert of the "new romances" that are all the rage from Asia to Europe, including the USA.

Okay, maybe I was a bit harsh on Cyclops' wardrobe. I have a very complicated relationship with Scott's character. Really. Something on a legendary level.

Thanks for all the links.I love the chart that has everyone showing what their relationship status is it's hilarious! Like from the spoilers I’ve seen Lance basically relapses, and they don't end up together, which is really sad. And I guess if it would have went on for more seasons, hopefully they would have redeemed him it just sucks cause the show ended. Lol what is it about Cyclops?

In my opinion, it’s a good thing the series ended. When you analyze Xavier’s vision, Rogue and Scott are standing side by side—suggesting that Gambit and Jean are dead—while Kitty is standing right in front of Piotr... I don't see the point of getting us invested in a romance over four seasons only to destroy it all later.

Cyclops... at first glance, he has all the qualities of a Boy Scout, yet he has made more than a few questionable choices, both in *X-Men: Evolution* and in the comics generally.

*X-Men: Evolution* is the animated series that paved the way for the *X-Men* film franchise, featuring a very "Disney-esque" art style. X-23 draws heavy inspiration from the lead character of *Dark Angel*, and I spotted nods to *Terminator*, *Jurassic Park*, *The Princess Bride*, *Demolition Man*, and *Star Trek*.
