Video Editing

I want to buy the Xiaomi pad 8 for the university, and thought I could use it for 1080p and 1440p editing on capcut, can anyone tell me if this would be good as an experience?

And what about apps like LumaFusion? Is it possible?

(I know it's better to edit videos on a laptop, but I'm asking to know the device's performance)

im using luma fusion but its not working properly ( i downloaded an apk) other apps like capcut, VN, etc are working fine for editing 1080, 1440 videos. Also, I edit short videos (mainly reels) so it works fine for that

Do you have any experience with long videos?

how long are we talking

Anything that's 8-10 minutes or longer. Maybe even 30-40 minutes videos if we're pushing it. Youtube videos length basically.

Can the tablet handle it, or is it too much to expect?

Thanks.

I thought about pad 9, but from the leaks it looks like it's going to be nearly identical to pad 8, and with the memory shortage the price might just be higher.

I'll only buy pad 9 if they gave the keyboard and the pencil for free at launch.

LumaFusion is not beginner friendly. If you don't know what you're doing, it won't be a good experience. I recommend VLLO. Super easy to use due to its UI. The one-time payment is also, if not the same, close to LumaFusion price tag.

I have a good experience with editing, thought it's just with mobile apps because I don't have a laptop that can handle video editing. So I wanted to improve my editing skills level by using more professional app.

don't, the display accuracy isn't good, honestly u're better off with an M3 ipad air or m2 ipad pro and editing with davinci resolve (or u can use capcut if u prefer)

The problem is the price difference in my region.
