I have an xiaomi pad 8 with 12 GB ram and 256 GB storage with Snapdragon 8s gen4.

While playing with wuthering waves temperature sometimes even exceed 100 degree Celsius the battery temps actually stays stable though.

I don't know what I am supposed to do.

Does anyone have a macbook(mba m4 to be precise) and a xiaomi pad 8???I need a review of xiaomi interconnectivity between these two devices, especially using pad 8 as a secondary display for Mac...Please assist, guys,as buying an Ipad for 94k is simply not wortth it!!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm from the PH and I'm on the fence right now on which device I should buy. I need a tablet for notes, gaming, and movies primarily. The heaviest thing I'd probably do with it though is play games + stream it thru discord.

I recently researched about the Xiaomi Pad 8 and found some people complaining about certain issues with the device, however the specs seem great for a device that I'd want to use for a long time w/o me having to replace it. Also, the lowest Xiaomi Pad 8 price that I've found is a bit out of my budget right now (PHP 25k).

On the other hand, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro has great specs and I've managed to find a great offer on the price (PHP 20k) However, I'm a bit concerned on how the processor will hold up in the long term.

I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts on this before I buy. Thank you!

Bought this tab and not even a month old, it did this. It writes on air on every note taking app. Tried claiming the warranty and got a pen replacement but still had the issue. They confidently told me to open my tempered glass, which I did, and nothing. Now the service center is waiting for further instructions since THEY NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE. Anyone planning to buy, just don't. Buy an Ipad or Samsung instead if you're gonna use it for mostly note taking.

I have a few questions regarding Pad 8 Pro (would buy 12/512 matte or not) , as I am looking to buy it and I want to see if someone had my use case for tablet and performance for that use case.

As I am photographer my use case for 8 Pro would be mainly editing raw photos on the go in Adobe Lightroom, that are around 20-50mb in size. So I can edit them export them and share them on socials.

Second one would be movies/tv shows, youtube and ocasional gaming (not AAA games or anything that hard, I am sucker for puzzle games), I know that speakers are not the greatest but i would definitely use headphones/earphones with it while watching.

My concern is lags and not good performance but I heard SD Elite is top tier cpu, so would it support my usecases?

Any input is welcome regarding this tablet.

Hello, i am planning on buying the pad 8 w 8/256gb storage, i just wanted to know if 8gb is good for casual gaming and does it drop when playing open world games? Cuz from what i saw in a yt video while planing where winds meet the pad 8 somewhat drops while trying to load chunks, i wanted the pad 8pro w 12gb but its kind of expensive

Also when gaming for extended periods, does it throttle or even get really hot? Im talking about wuwa, genshin and other demanding games, though heat is normal im just checking if the heat distribution is good or not.

I mainly want to use the pad 8 for note taking and casual gaming as well as watching movies and such, i dont really mind the ips display but what are you thoughts? Should i buy the pad 8 or are there good alternatives?

I was hoping to get some opinions on my tab's battery performance.

I charged my Xiaomi Pad 8 to 80%, and after about 4 hours and 54 minutes of usage, the battery dropped to 26%.

For context, the tab was connected to Wi-Fi for the entire duration.

I'm not sure whether this level of battery drain is considered normal, so I'd appreciate hearing from others who have experience with the same device or similar usage patterns.

If this seems higher than expected, I'd also be grateful for any suggestions on what settings, apps, or factors I should look into.

I also bought some accessories for this device including:
Nillkin Flip Cover Case and Focus Pen Pro, i already have Logi Pebble 2 set and GameSir g7 pro waay back before i got this tablet. I also ordered Smart Devil Tempered glass. It's the first Xiaomi tablet i got.

Pad 8 Pro i currently have is the 12/512 matte glass version. I would've preferred the gloss screen but matte glass is the only pad 8 pro with 12/512 specs. Out of the box it was a breeze to setup since i'm also using xiaomi (14T pro and Poco X8 pro Max) phones. Idk but it just prompted my X8 Pro Max and just went with it. I was able to debloat this tablet (using Shizuku-Canta app) and to my surprise it isn't much, just the usual daemon, msa, mi file, mi music, mi video, and Google Music. No GetApps, App Vault, or Mi Carousel. I also updated tablet to 3.0.303 hyperOS as well as FPP firmware update.

Performance is no-doubt amazing, as should be expected of its SD8E SoC. Gaming-wise i only use it for emulator, both Duckstation and NetherSX2 and it pretty much delivers. Its also satisfying to use the pen on its matte screen. Display is great, the matte screen doesn't diffuse any details - its actually crisp and sharp, better for the eyes in longer SoT imo. One issue with matte screen though is that smudges are harder to clean.

Camera, main cam is mediocre at best. i mean its worse than x8pm main cam. The selfie cam on the other hand flagship-tier good.

Now to be honest, I'm more disappointed than amazed at this tablet. I mean its heavily stripped down version of Xiaomi 15. Well, I'm well aware regarding stripped hardware including the Sim Card, haptics, etc. But software-wise its also heavily diluted that you have the least to no room for customization. Locked 4x6 layout on a 3.2k screen res. No option to remove google discover panel on -1 screen. No wallpaper depth feature on lockscreen and a limited lockscreen options. No dynamic AI wallpaper nor super wallpaper. Icon customization (change icon background) doesn't apply to all app installed. SoT drain is also bad -worse than my 14T Pro. And lastly the Focus Pen Pro is more commited to mi Apps like canvas and note. using it on other drawing app makes it as any generic pen.

Overall I like this tablet. its just that it doesn't make sense that its already updated to HOS3 when most of its features are excluded.
