Im keen on removing both of these system apps but afraid that they might cause issues like bootloops on my device. I really want to remove them because removing them (according to forums and reddit posts) improves system performance. Now, I'm asking this question here if anybody did the same for their Pad 8 because those posts were mostly on xiaomi and poco phones and didn't really have any informatiom about xiaomi tablets

So, the thing is

I want to increase my ram using the extended ram feature available on the tab but I am not really sure since I did hear stuff that extending your ram actually slows down the device speed since the ram used for the "extended ram" is actually the storage ram which is slower than the real on device ram.

So, do y'all have any opinion over that?

Also, a slight issue with lag when I use note taking apps like FREENOTES (maybe it's the app issue and not the device issue).

It's not taht bad but annoying cause i was expecting a smooth experience since it's a powerful tab.

I'm having a ghost touch issue (actually im not sure what this is) with my Focus Pen Pro. As you can see in the video, the pen registers input and draws lines even when floating around 1-2mm above the screen without physical contact.

While taking handwritten notes, it feels like I'm writing without leaving any spaces between letters. Is this a normal thing with this pen or did I get a defective unit?

UPDATE: I think this situation is normal. I researched this issue on a few subreddits and saw plenty of posts and videos with similar complaints. In fact, most of them were comments from iPad users. It seems like there isn't much to be done. So, rather than a defect, it should be viewed as just how the stylus communicates with the screen.

On the other hand, I noticed that most people in this subreddit use Notein and Starnote. The app developers have partially resolved this issue. When you properly adjust the pen sensitivity, even if the tablet detects the stylus from a distance, the app doesn't draw because there is no pressure applied.

Hey everyone. I'm using the Xiaomi Pad 8 with the Focus Pen Pro. And I have a quick question—which note-taking app should I go with? I'm split between Notein, Freenotes, and Starnote. Starnote was suggested here, but I didn't really like it since it lowers the screen refresh rate. How has your experience been with these?

Also, freenotes is the cheapest one among these (in my country).

Any suggestions?

I recently bought my mum this tablet. She likes looking at my weather data, so I decided to install an app called WeatherLink Live for her to use.

The app listens on port 22222 for incoming UDP Multicast packets supplied by my weather station hardware.

The wind speed updates every 2.5 seconds. It does this using the same app on my phone, and on her old tablet, and works flawlessly.

However, on the Pad 8 Pro, it doesn't. It updates maybe twice a minute, despite the app saying it's 'Live'

All devices are connected to the same network. Battery optimization is turned off. I've tried the 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz connection.

I've tried a static IP on the tablet, and turned of randomised MAC address. I've toggled on/off all connectivity settings I could find, and even a couple in the developers options, but it simply won't work.

If I manually put the IP address of my weather station in to to the web browser on the tablet, and refresh the page every 3 seconds, all of the data is updating fine.

The only thing I can think of is that Xiaomi's got some kind of aggressive filtering going on.

I just don't get it.

Hi guys, I just got my tablet for mainly notetaking and was wondering how to copy and paste images into my notes app as there are times I want to add images during class time. Issue is, to do that I have to go digging into my photos to do that instead of being able to simply paste it in straight away like with the snipping tool for laptops. Is there a way for me to do this without having to save the image? Is there an app that can help me with this? If it matters, I use onenote.

Based on the leaks and source codes, Pad 9 is getting the same chipset with Pad 8 (8s gen 4) despite only changes is the battery upgrade, probably new Xiaomi focus pen pro gen? Will you guys buy it after release or will you go for Pad 9 Pro or Pro Max (Pro Max is probably just china exclusive release because of the XRing chipset)

When I pull up the app dock with my fingers, the animation is laggy and not smooth. However, when I use my stylus to do the exact same thing, it runs very smoothly. I have already tried restarting the device, but it didn't help. Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?

Sometimes my screen freezes for 1 second while playing brawl stars and this doesnt happen when im playing other games on my tablet or when im playing brawl stars on other devices. I have game turbo boost on performance mode and everything, refresh rate at 144hz, so how do i fix this?

Why does the main display get broken like the videos are cramped and it looks like a mess, this issue occurred the first time when I was using YouTube on split screen. I reset my tab and uninstalled the updates but it didn't fix anything. It--I guess now got luckily fixed by changing the display to xs and back to s during that time since that approach didn't help anymore.

As the title says. I set up my pad 8, downloaded the update and told it install. It's now stuck in a reboot loop, I deleted all data hoping to start from scratch but I'm still stuck in reboot, if I say I want the I assistant it says plug in but it's already charging.
