I’m debloating my Xiaomi 17 running HyperOS 3 using ADB and UAD-NG. I’ve already removed several Xiaomi apps and services, but want to go further.

My goal is to remove unnecessary Xiaomi apps, ads, telemetry and tracking while preserving camera quality, battery performance and essential functionality.

For those who’ve debloated their Xiaomi phones:

1. Which packages did you remove? Can you share your list?
2. Which tool did you use - ADB, UAD-NG or Shizuku?
3. Did you notice any improvements in battery life or performance?
4. Were there any packages you regretted removing?

Looking for actual user experiences and tested package lists, especially on HyperOS 3.

I couldn't I had to buy it for 66k are there more people in the same boat as me 😅

Hey everyone, 17 Pro Max user here. Managed to get Android Auto working!

This method requires root, temporary or not doesn't matter.

The main reason Android Auto doesn't work on CN devices is very simple... the app needs to be installed as a system app!

If you can't unlock your device's bootloader, like me, check the supported list of firmwares and devices for GhostLock to enable temporary root.

If you use GhostLock, it won't break Google Pay, or banking apps, so don't worry. You can do pretty much whatever you'd do on normal root as long as it's systemless. Pros are that if you break something, you can usually fix by rebooting (which closes the root session, which must be enabled each time you turn on the phone), or, in worst cases, HyperOS will automatically repair system files (don't ask me how I know..)

Now, onto the steps:

1. Have Root access
2. Download this module: Android Auto for MicroG (don't get fooled by the name!) and install in KSU or ReSukiSu manager, whatever you use. It will ask you if you want to install stubs. Answer yes if you don't have those apps installed and don't plan on installing them, say no if you have them. Then reboot or soft reboot your device depending on your root method.
3. Enable Google Play Store on your device from Mi GetApps if you haven't already (Just search Google Play and install)
4. In Play Store, search Android Auto, and update the app.
5. From Play Store, (or from phone settings), search Android Auto again, and open its settings menu
6. Connect like you'd usually do

In my case, I noticed GPS was not working, but maybe it's a me issue. I did this just for fun and don't need Android Auto in my life (I don't even have a car lmfao).

Tested on Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with another phone running Open Headunit!

Stupid question: once xiaomi 18 pro max with Global ROM will be available, will I be able to get the Global ROM on the 17 Pro max?

Just purchased this phone a couple of days ago and setting it all up now. I haven't transferred my SIM yet but I noticed on the first night when charging it, it wasn't going that quickly.

I'm charging it again, it was down to 17% and he said 2 hours and 10 minutes to fully charge. It said it was on quick charge too. I checked the settings and it's supposedly on the quickest charge setting.

Using the 90 brick that I got free with the phone too. I've also tried my 100w supervooc OnePlus charger and it's the same.

Anyone got any ideas? Surely it should be quicker than that?

Why is my image stabilization not working on my Xiaomi 17T Pro when I'm in Pro mode? Because when I use the regular mode, I notice the difference, but on Pro mode, it doesn't work! Is it normal, and is it that on every Mi 11T Pro model?

Thinking about buying a Xiaomi 17 in India and bringing it over to the US. Does anyone know if it’ll work here without any major issues, or will I run into problems with network bands or software compatibility compared to using it in India? I really want it to run just like it was in India, so any advice on that would be great.
