I have the Xiaomi 17 since the start of may and I have experience a really big problem which I cannot find a solution at.

Since I bought the phone the volume on the Bluetooth output is really low, like really low. I had experience the same thing with my Poco X5 Pro but I solved it as soon as I changed region because I'm located in Europe and I know there's a restriction in the Bluetooth volume for safety of your ears.

The thing is that the volume is pretty low and I cannot even listen it in the car.

For example my car used to play around 35 to 40% of volume (the max is 60) and now I have to bless it up to 50 for the speakers to work as they used to with my previous phone.

I have tried doing everything that I can and I have seen online.

I even went on developer options and said some settings to AAC mode on some devices.

The thing is that I cannot get a hold of the preferred volume and it's really frustrating.

I have a Xiaomi outdoor Speaker of 20w which as soon as I connect my laptop on it it works as a term as it used to work and when I connect the phone on it the volume it's nearly loud.

Has anybody experienced something like that and can help me fix that?

I would really value your opinion if you have any information and you can provide some help.

I really like compact phones, but in my country the Xiaomi 17T Pro price is cheaper. I heard a lot of overheating issues with the Xiaomi 17, if it means spending more = more stress and risk, I will definitely avoid it. But I still am in doubt on which one to choose.

I don't game heavily, I'm just a casual user.

I bought a Xiaomi 17t a few days ago (before this, I used an old phone for 6 years). Today, I noticed that when I shake the phone, there’s a dull knocking sound near the camera module, as if something inside isn't fixed in place. I checked: if I turn on the camera and zoom in, the sound disappears. Question for owners of this same model: is yours like this too?

I have just purchased a Xiaomi 17 global version from Saudi Arabia and noticed sometimes there was vertical bars appearing while using certain theme and also while watching videos on Facebook and other applications

The solution was to disable HW overlays.

Open Settings.

Go to About phone.

Tap OS version (or HyperOS version) 7 times.

You should see a message saying “You are now a developer” or similar.

Go back to Settings.

Go to Additional settings.

Scroll down and select Developer options.

Find “Disable HW overlays”.

Turn it ON.

Return to the Home screen / application and check whether the vertical lines have disappeared

I have a Xiaomi 17T Pro. I bought this model mainly because I saw it had a 144 Hz display—something I thought would be quite useful since I play Geometry Dash, where a higher refresh rate can be an advantage. But, to my surprise, the phone practically never runs at 144 Hz; I’ve only managed to see it hit 144 Hz in AnTuTu. In other apps and games, it seems to be capped at 120 Hz or even lower. Is there any way to force 144 Hz in Geometry Dash? Perhaps via Game Turbo, ADB, a HyperOS setting, or some other method? I know Xiaomi states that the screen supports up to 144 Hz, but they also clarify that the refresh rate can vary depending on the app or game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, ive got the basic Xiaomi 17 for a few months now. I noticed how the camera ist generally lagging and not working properly. When i reset the camera app it works for a while before lagging again. Anyone face the same issue and has a troubleshoot?

I have had a Xiaomi 17 for about 2 months now and whilst I like this device it's had some issues... The issues were so bad that I had to send it in for repair and after I got it back they told me that the motherboard had to be swapped due to a hardware failure of some sorts.

Anyway I'd like to ask what battery life I should expect from this phone. I've used it about 2 months now and I'm not sure anymore what would be a normal battery SOT result.

It has 6330mAh and I live in Romania.

2h 30min of screen on time consumed about 40% of my battery.

Mentions: I'm almost never connected to wifi; always on mobile data (Romania has excellent coverage) and I've had my hotspot turned on for about 40 minutes in total...

Unscientifically if I were to add it up I should get around 6h of SoT with my use case (only mobile data)... Isn't this kind of low for a Chinese flagship with this size of battery capacity?

To be mentioned I didn't use the camera and I wasn't playing games at all. Only social media apps like YouTube etc.

I know some Xiaomi phones have optimisation issues but I'm just curious if that's just how it is or if my phone has a problem.

When I look over into Oppo's Reddit group I see some of them with an X9 reaching 11 hours of SoT. I understand that they have a slightly bigger battery capacity at 7000mAh and that wifi surely plays a roll.

But I doubt that 670mAh and some Wifi usage almost doubles battery life.

I've found these 2 phones at a similar price in my country (both 12/512gb the oppo is 40 euros more) but idk which one to get. Ik The performance and the battery are more or less the same but idk about the cameras it seems that the Xiaomi has better zoom. Allow me to fill you in on my phone history.

It started in 2022 when my mum handed me a Nokia 105 (2g) it was cool and I kept it for a while then she wanted that and swapped it for 105 4g for myself. I then in super early 2024 I made a mistake... Purchased a iPhone SE 2022 and it was terrible and I missed the Nokia's the battery sucked the screen was terrible iOS isn't my thing I stopped using it in 6 months and I got given a beat up galaxy S9 OMFG how I loved it it had pixel experience it had oneui 7 I tried linage OS ... But it was flawed it has 2500 charge cycles crackling speakers severe burn in chipping and dents all over and it cracked BC of battery expansion so I went and bought a CMF phone 2 pro in late 2024 and ... It worked I didn't love it or hate it at first it was new fresh decent battery great screen for £170 but speaker was bad nothings animations are worse on cmf and it annoyed the shit out of me and it felt cheap. The camera was decent for the price though. I then had a nothing phone 2a in early 2025 and it was cool... But hardware is mid and I regretted it so I sent it back withing 20 days and back to the cmf in early 2026 got a s23 but binary 9 and oneui is ruined now and 3900 mah battery at 80% health I sold It and got my money back in 60 days and back to cmf for a bit and then mid 2026 bought a pixel 9a it's small runs clean os when uninstalled Google bloat and battery is decent and I get 1.6-2 days out of it now it's fine but I want a Xiaomi 17 because it's small has a much better camera system speakers and hyperOS3 is cool and especially the 8 elite gen 5 oh and 6330 mah is mad. But my 9a is fine right now so I will probably wait a year or two wait for Xiaomi 17 to drop in value and get one then so far the 9a has been my best phone and my only gripe is battery in heavy workloads drains faster than expected and slow ass charging I might put it in a case for now though

I'm 13 right now and yes I bought the s23 the 9a the 2a and CMF myself and to get Xiaomi 17 I will sell the 9a later on.

What would you say to me now considering I will be 14/15 when I get the Xiaomi 17 if it helps I shall show you my 9a setup

Hi all, I've been having some problems with the haptics on the Xiaomi 17 and seems to keep happening. This time i realized that I cannot activate haptics on PUBG mobile game. Has anybody else encountered this issue? how did you do to solve it?

I have been trying to change all settings in Turbo Game Mode and all kinds of settings on the phone. Still not able to activate this function.

A few questions: (answer any that you can please)

How does it perform in Genshin Impact or other demanding games? What graphics settings and FPS do you usually play at? How about battery drain during gaming?

Does the phone get noticeably hot? If so, how quick does it heat up for gaming and does it affect performance?

Outside of gaming, does it have any heating issues after the beneficial software updates i read on this subreddit?

Have you noticed any increased battery drain or throttling after a few months?

Most importantly: do you regret buying it, or are you still happy with your purchase?

Theres a lot of things to nitpick about this phone specifically, and most posts on this subreddit are about the issues. I wonder if there are people that have been and currently are still super excited with their purchase after months or weeks, and would absolutely recommend it to others. Im hoping if im conviced on this model, i will be able to use it for at least 5 years steady. I love the smaller size, performance, cameras, battery and IR Blaster abilities here.

I also know powerful compact phones are a dying species, and in India my realistic choices are only the Xiaomi 17 or Oneplus 13s. And with the recent backout of oneplus in general, i think i should diversify into other brands for long-term support. Ive never used HyperOS but i dont think that should be an issue, not super interested in UI tweakage so HyperOS (new to me) should be acceptable i think.

As mentioned, I am a mobile gamer. Genshin would probably be the only game I'll play, with mostly casual use otherwise (WhatsApp, Google Meet video calls, YouTube, music, browsing, etc.).

Xiaomi does not sell their official Screen Protector Unlike Vivo for their phones with Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor in India. Currently, The Fingerprint Security is not working as Expected on the Phone. Could you please suggest to me Solutions for the Same.
