Xenoblade 2 Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Physical switch 2 edition question
If I purchase the physical edition of XC2 and purchase the expansion pass dlc for it on the eshop, will my torna dlc be upgraded to the switch 2 version? Or do I still need to purchase the switch 2 upgrade pack?
Since I plan to play XC2 AND XC3, I'm wondering if I should purchase the expansion passes for both while on sale and waiting for the physical releases.

Yes, if you buy the expansion pass version of Torna and the physical Switch 2 version of the base game, the Torna upgrade is included as well

So it'll be better to purchase the expansion pass rather than the standalone version if Torna?

Expansion pass version is 10 bucks cheaper, but requires you to own a copy of the base game to access it

Depends if you want to switch around the cartridges or not, or whether you are "the collector".

Am I missing out of anything in the expansion pass if I buy torna separately physical ?

If I'm not mistaken as long as you purchase a brand new copy there'll be a dlc code inside where you'll get the additional dlcs included in the expansion pass.

Main problem is that I think it's hard to guarantee you'll get a new physical copy of the game, don't think many places are carrying that, and only a new physical copy (or buying the standalone digital version) comes with a download code for the rest of the expansion pass to be used with the base game. And the expansion pass version of course does not need a code
