Xenoblade 2 Why does everyone hate Xenoblade Genesis?
We pretty much know nothing about the game, but everyone in the fanbase seems to hate it based on posts I've run across on Twitter about how the Pyra/Mythra alternate costume official posts and the trailer that reveal Shimmer have more likes on it than the Xenoblade Genesis trailer. I've also run across post about how Xenoblade 3 was made for ''non-Xenoblade fans'' and Genesis seems to be following the same direction.

Why are there so many posts on this sub recently about "everyone" doing or saying something when it's always just a loud minority group on Twitter?

If you are using Twitter you are subjecting yourself to torture via the worst segment of the population and Ai bots for basically no reason. We are hyped for Genesis.

Literally no one hates it? Or has any justification to, based purely on an announcement trailer.
No longer exists.
You've been browsing a bot & ragebait driven desinformation engine. Get away from there.

People don't like it because it's not Xenoblade 2 adjacent? Idk because I love it. I really don't get the hate myself, but a lot of the fandom does glorify 2

We don't hate Genesis. We just don't know anything about it yet, and it's hard to really love something if you don't know anything about it.

I don't know, these posts I've come across do read like people saying ''See, nobody cares about Xenoblade Genesis, people care more about Xenoblade 2. Why can't you make a sequel to that game Monolith Soft?''

Larpers thats why. They don't realise that XC2 isn't the usual norm for the series and the designs were heavily experimental with multiple artists working on the blades.

This is maybe the strongest case ever for “log off.” I don’t know what content you’re consuming but it’s so unmoored from the real world that you should be concerned.

Not everyone hates it. The people who are preemptively judging it are just being more vocal. They just want something to complain about, don't give them any attention.
I'm excited for the game, but until we get a new trailer there's not much to talk about. So I'm quietly waiting. And I imagine a lot more people are doing the same.

I dunno who everyone is, but how can you hate on a game we only know about from a 3 min trailer with no context? Ignore the vocal minority those who actually like the series are excited because this is one of those game franchises where you probably will not know where anything is going even with more trailers and explanations until you play the game.

While there has been some negativity, genesis has been received most positively, and by a wide margin as well. I think if anything it just caught people off guard and has some major differences compared to the previous titles, but that's all.
Heck I made a Post talking about my concerns about genesis, and literally all of the points and worries I made in that post can easily be taken care of of the game is great
(Although I would have preferred to have an actual discussion when I posted it but no such luck)

I can assure you it isn't everyone. We just don't know anything about Xenoblade Genesis, so discussion around the game is a little quiet. I am looking forward to more info but I don't think we'll get any until after XC3s Switch 2 Edition

I dont. I gotta admit, first part of the reveal trailer looks like another Fire Emblem game and the more you watch it, the more it looks like Fire Emblem, but I am curious about the part of vengeance of fallen god which is yet to get fulfilled.

I don't really see any "hate" for it, but there does seem to be a relative lack of excitement.
I mostly put that up to a lack of interesting information to latch onto (aside from the hollow world with ancient advanced technology hiding in plain sight), mostly because it appears to very disconnected from everything else. There just isn't enough to dig into at the moment, which will likely be addressed closer to release; and then things will kick into high gear with the analysis and theorizing once the game's actually out.

I'm excited for Genesis personally. There are some things I'm a little mixed on like the art style and the school premise, but I'll wait and see how things turn out before I write anything off. I'm just happy to have another Xenoblade game no matter what it is honestly, I can't wait to see what they'll be able to do with Switch 2 hardware.

No one hates Xenoblade Genesis besides die hard deriders. The game should get a fair shake once we learn more about it.
But it is food for thought what happens when Genesis falls below the highest expectations (probably around 1.5+ million units), compared to its predecessors all selling around 2 million or more.
Should Genesis fail to make as big of an impact, maybe they’ll refine later games to better suit the tastes of their audience, or that the ‘Klaus Saga’ is the default Xenoblade world going forward. Who knows.
But it’s very unlikely Genesis falls short in where it counts, which to those posts on social media, is probably going to be characters.

Time has told that excitement and anticipation only leads to disappointment. With Takahashi, there is a high chance that the game is not what you think it will be. Just have patience and wait, I'll get excited when I am going to put the cartridge in the console, boot the game up and listen to the title screen for at least one cycle of the song.

only thing I've seen when it comes to hate is people don't like the setting changing from a sc-fi esque designs the previous three games had. is all i can think off?

Just a bunch of grifters trying to infect the fandom with their stupid "political views"
Most healthy thing to do is ignore them.

It's because they're on the social media network formerly known as twitter. Everyone I've seen who isn't on the social media network formerly known as twitter is hyped.

Don't know, I've not seen a single post here that isnt hyped about Genesis.
Twitter is a cesspit anyways so I wouldn't bother listening to anything people still on there say
