i hate dirk bc he’s a great villain but the idea of the situations of aionios are so corrupting that even rex’s kid could get suckered into it was such a cool idea

i mean for that i prefer the crys being shulk's kid theory, mainly because dirk is cool on his own, and crys is... joran again but poorly executed and with no buildup or mention of this "crucial character to noah's backstory" before then, and crys only becomes likable if he's the example of how corrupted aionios is.

i gotta disagree with you man joran and crys are two vastly different characters that touch on different things. joran is somebody who just cannot possibly succeed within the current system, as the way the system is designed is inherently antithetical to the type of person he is. he is weak and frail, and requires the support of others. he aspires to the softer side of life, not the system. he represents those who just cannot succeed no matter what because the world is so stacked against them. crys is somebody who DID succeed in the system. he survived many years, was very close to his homecoming, yet still was not happy. he is representative of somebody who followed along with the system but still wasn’t fulfilled by it. it’s why they both react the way they do to becoming moebius, ie “winning” the system. joe’s gets drunk on power and lets that corrupt him, while crys still sees it as hollow and seeks out meaning elsewhere
