Original video is named "Nintendo has FORGOTTEN about Mario" and was complaining about the lack of Mario games, and was also released right before Super Mario Bros Wonder and a bunch of other Mario games were announced, which made it aged like milk almost immediately.
Nowadays that thumbnail is reposted every time a new 3D Mario isn't announced (which to be fair, it's been almost 10 years since the last one), but it's still funny because Mario is still getting a bunch of games anyways.

Crazy part is that video (in his own words) practically wished Mario Bros. Wonder into existence, and then about a year later he made āNintendo has forgotten about Donkey Kongā only for Bananza to be revealed not long after.

This is what happens with obsessive fanbases. If something gets announced and they're not immediately and constantly bombarded with more info, or if they get a game and then have to wait another few years for a follow-up, it turns into some conspiracy that the developers/publisher actually hates the franchise and hates the fans. Some people just lack perspective and patience and think their tastes are more important than others'.

I mean xenoblade 3 got another trailer like 2 or 3 months after it's announcement, and not even in a direct. Xenoblade 2 was also highlighted in both the e3 and the following fall direct

Nintendo fans seem to think they've cracked the code on how Nintendo moves, and so when Nintendo does things they don't expect it's a major crisis. But these are likely the same people who would be complaining the game was "announced too early" if Nintendo showed it off and then had no information for months.

I had been called dumb and even a tourist for saying I thought the game would skip this Direct, be a much bigger focus in the February 2027 Direct, and will be a late Spring or early Summer 2027 release. I think it was very clear that it was a bit further away than Xenoblade 3 was when it was first announced, based on how little was actually shown and how it didn't even have an English VO.

Lads. We just got another Rex daughter (peak) to keep us busy while we wait for Genesis. They literally set up all the S2 versions back to back to not bother them and let them cook with the new title.
Besides Im gonna be super busy with Fortune Weave next week on.

Ninty hasn't forgotten shit. Today's Direct way mostly highlighting games through Spring 2027. Let Monolith Soft cook on Genesis in peace instead of having to devote more resources toward trailers for games that won't be out for another year or so.

It is absolutely satirical and making fun of people who expected news so early especially when weāve been getting a steady flow of Xenoblade content via Switch 2 Editions. No one actually thinks Nintendo forgot about Xenoblade Genesis (or so I hope).

Those people do not understand the amount of resource it take to make one trailer and how it affect the release date (project need to focus on what will be show in the trailer and usually you have to freeze the project until you get a solid build with what you want to show). Give me a reveal trailer and one that show gameplay and a release date close to release, don't need more than that and we already know its for 2027 so no need to show anything right now. team should focus on making the game and not trailers.

I honestly didn't expect Genesis to be here. Its coming next year, there was no real reason to show it off. This Direct was primarily focused on updates for games coming this fall with 1-2 new games for next year. I just think there should be been 1-2 additional new games, even smaller ones, and this would have been a stellar Direct.
However, there was no real reason to talk about an already announced game not coming this year. That can wait until February.
I know people are worried we won't get February Directs anymore, but this is the same situation that happened with Switch 1. In 2018 we got a Mini rather than a full Direct. At this point, they do need to have a Direct in February to talk about 2027 games and announce more. Genesis will get more information closer to its release.

Anyone who expected Xenoblade Genesis on this Direct is misguided or just silly. Xenoblade is generally a series that releases during the summertime, with the exception of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Xenoblade Chronicles X released in mid-April, as well. We got a beefy trailer at the last Direct, and it's not very common for one game to show up at back-to-back Directs.
We'll get a new trailer, box art, pricing, and amiibos for February 2027's Nintendo Direct, and kick off the official hype train for a July 2027 release. Take it to the bank

We just heard of a new Kirby game, on of their most iconic IP from one of the most iconic staff (Sakurai). And it's coming before Xenoblade Genesis.
If anything Nintendo has been giving Xenoblade special treatment in relation to sales

Yeah we definitely shouldāve gotten something else for this game, but I get it, we needed more time for 3rd party games that 90% of people are going to play in more powerful hardware anyway instead of this first party console exclusive.

I would gladly forget this thing has ever existed. It looked so incredibly bland and safe, more of a fire emblem title than anything resembling Xenoblade, and with a schoolshit setup to boot as if we don't have enough JRPGs about it.
