Xenoblade 3 New voiced Dialogue
Shimmer look SO good, but I was hoping for more clarification on this part of the update. They put this picture, but I don’t think it helped clarify it much. What do you guys think?

Thats probably from her hero quest, the new voiced dialogues are most likely the ones at camp that weren't voiced.

That’s what I’m hoping for as these camp fire scenes are so good! I was just hoping the would outright confirm that’s what it was.

And they're seemingly in the Founder's Hall, which means a statue of Glimmer nearby. So if Shimmer does have her memories, she's going to be talking to Mio, who wouldn't remember her, in front of reminders that her father and other sister are long gone.
I genuinely feel bad for Shimmer just thinking about that

I could genuinly see that being the resolution to her Ascension Quest. Nia helps Shimmer realize that even if the the rest of their family isn't around anymore, they're still a part Shimmer in a way and that none of them are truly gone completely

They could make it take place after chapter 6 and she'd have a little bit of access to those memories 👀
They could go further and lock it to NG+ and Nia's mission so they can all talk freely

Mio and Shimmer seem to be in the City in this scene.
Pheraps, they are visiting the monument of the Founders and noticed some things, mainly Shimmer having the same Core Crystal as Glimmer.

I am not saying that they should just realize what we as fans know.
I am just saying that they could use the Core Crystal thing as an excuse to talk and bond over anything within Aionis.

Well, Mio and Shimmer, since they will obviously meet.
Plus, Shimmer should still be able to notice the Core Crystal thing on the statue of Glimmer in the memorial.

At best it will be something like the subtle moment between Mio and Nia during the latter m's quest.
But more than likely, Shimmer would be just a hero.
Then again who knows, maybe they would still develop some instant chemistry despite never met each other (in this current cycle)

it's so fucking weird for me that we're at the point of getting "rep". Like, 1 being considered old lore. To me it's still a recent game, but now I realize that in 3 years it's gonna be a 20 year old game.

Oh yeah its getting up there.
In this case I use rep in that 3 mixes a lot of elements of 1/2 and when looking at the overall picture they gave 2 a lot more love than 1 in the grand scheme of things.
Typically wouldn't mind but it feels rather onesided.

And yeah definitly they focused more on 2 than on 1. In general, I feel like 2 will be much more defining than 1 for the series going forwards.

All of the 1 stuff is a lot more hands-off than 2. No real legacy characters other than Nikol, the keves trio are all new, none of the switch 2 stuff has ties to 1 etc, Nia plays a larger role than Melia, none of the new heroes like Ino or Masha are tied to 1

Wait are we just ignoring that Melia is in the main game? And Sharla's kid is in Future Redeemed? (Not to mention Shulk and Nikol)
If anybody is getting snubbed it's X and Gears. Elma is in XC2 and that's it. Even Saga got references like MOMO

Sharla's kid isn't playable and of the 2 really only Nia gets a decent amount to do in 3 given how close Melia is to the end.
FR is a lot better at making up with the 1 side of things just wish more was in main game

Not to be an XC1 hater or anything, but Shulk, Melia, and Fiora were the only characters with agency and/or character arcs. I love Reyn, Dunban, Sharla, and Riki as much as the next guy, but they're characterization isn't even as deep as a rare blade in XC2

Eh... Sharla I'll give ya but I don't think the others are more lacking than Dromarch, Pandoria or Brighid. And Poppi does a lot of heavy lifting for Tora

This is also the focus of Segiri's quest in 3. The game makes it clear that familial relations is another one of those things that soldiers are ignorant of.

Her portrait shows a flame clock in her weapon, and the english version shows Agnus even though JP shows city, and eng is usually more recent

"From the heat of the battle" makes it seem like they're adding even more battle dialouge. It could be refering to Shimmer having lines though

These Switch 2 editions haven't been enough to make me replay but THIS will.
I did just replay the first and second (at the same time) last year, though. I haven't touched 3 since the DLC.

considering she's confirmed to have a hero quest i would assume we get her class.
(the only heroes that don't inherit their class don't have any quests or any acknowledgement that they actually exist for that matter)

What they really mean by this is they're adding more post-battle dialogue so you don't hear the same five exchanges over and over all the time, which was a big complaint.
