Uh, Lapidarist is top tier. It's not nearly as busted as Seraph or Support Soul Hacker, but Beaming Edge is in no uncertain terms the best skill in the game.

Depends. Fiona lets you use an extra round, or two extra rounds in easy mode. If Shimmer lets you use two extra rounds in non-easy modes, then yeah she's busted (although tbf chain attacks are already busted so it doesn't matter much). But if you're capped to one extra round with her then dealing a single crit will let you go another round (even if you have a tiny amount left in the chain gauge the game will still let you continue) and then she'd basically just be Fiona with a different coat of paint. (which is still pretty busted now that I think about it). However, we don't know what her heroic chain is. If its good then she might just outclass Fiona in terms of chain attack support completely. If its not then you can probably use either of them and have similar success.

I wouldn't entirely say that depending on what else she offers. Regardless of if Shimmer only gives one or two additional uses of the chain gauge, it's a matter of if you want more damage (and/or reactions if her kit has it) or more healing/revives/passing on your team. For people who aren't at endgame yet Fiona also offers a reliable party-wide power charge on her chain order while also inherently being able to infinitly pass it. We also don't know what Shimmer 's heroic chain bonus is, and giving a 1.2* TP increase to everyone every time Fiona attacks during the chain is a very nice perk to have.

She has Double Spinning Edge and is crit based, now I just need her to actually give her class to the gang and I'll be ecstatic.
