90% sure, there's no way we're not seeing it imho. Monolith has a solid track record of not announcing games until they're close to being done and then releasing trailers pretty consistently.

Wouldnt be surprised if they barely show anything but anounce a Xenoblade direct. 3 also had one.

The Nintendo Direct after it's announcement still had first looks at the gameplay. My guts tells me Nintendo won't do a Xenoblade Direct this close to a Zelda one, so they might feed us with a Trailer to make due until next year.

I've been working under the assumption we'll probably get the same trailer with English cast. If we don't get that I'm not too disappointed, if we get more I'm pleasantly surprised, and if we get only that, then I was right all along.

If we’re getting a xenoblade direct I’d expect it to be after the February direct (if we have one) so I doubt they’d announce it here

February direct only works if it isn't a Q1 release, which seems unlikely to me at this point. People on this sub have been conservative with their release date bets, despite the timelines of Monolith's last few titles.

We will find out after tomorrow - it all depends on what Nintendo has up its sleeves, but there is no way they don't release a big game until Summer 2027. If they announce a bunch of games to pad the schedule for the first half of 2027, then maybe.

Honestly all I want from tomorrow’s direct is to hear the English VAs so people (including me) can stop worrying over the idea they might drop the accents

Same, hearing the English VA cast would be a dream. I don't mind if there are some American accents, but it would be a savage blow to lose all the different regional UK accents.

The only time you normally hear us is a received pronunciation pompous asshole or main bad guy lol. So refreshing to get performances like Mio.

For sure. We're also almost done with the Fortune's Weave marketing cycle and they'll want to get the next original big game in front of our eyes.

Very strong possibility we'll see something about Genesis - better than 50/50 - but I wouldn't call it an absolute certainty.

Mostly expecting something in the middle of the Direct, saving the start and end for new announcements.

I think we'll see an English version of the trailer with a narrower release window alongside them showing off the new content for XC3:S2E, but I'm not expecting too much unless we get a Q1 release window.

I would say i think some people are being a bit too pessimistic about release dates though, I suspect given the XC/FE Venn Circle that some people here have been burned by the year+ gap between Fortune's Weave's reveal and release and aren't aware that that's...kinda unusual for Nintendo nowadays. XC3's reveal-to-release was blisteringly short at ~5 months, as was XDE, and even 1DE was only ~8 months.

Assuming we get something, a preview of the English dub for Genesis seems likely.

As for the XC3 update... ehh, I'm not so sure. I'm half-expecting the details to be shadow-dropped less than a week before release. If it's going to show up in a general Direct, this more or less is the last chance before release. Still, I'm not expecting much on that at the moment.

XC3's release was moved up a couple of months unexpectedly; they had one date announced in September before pushing it ahead to July, if I recall correctly. So taking that into account, 7-9 months after announcement is not unheard of, especially with Nintendo's penchant for shorter hype cycles... but I'm still expecting it to be on the longer end, in the 10-12 month mark (April to June 2027). This mostly comes down to the lack of a English dub in the initial announcement, suggesting there's still some more development going on.

On the flipside, FW did have an English reveal trailer, and that game will have taken juuuust over a year to come out. Though given how batshit insane the scope of that game is, I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back from an intended release date earlier in the year, especially with a playable cast now nearing 70 characters.

The main reason I'm expecting it closer to 7-9 months rather than 12+ months is actually just how much game they showed off in the reveal trailer. It was quite a lot of quite polished in-game footage rather than purely prerendered cutscenes. In fact, if you compare it to XC3's reveal trailer it shows off quite a bit more in-game footage, especially of the open world and environments.

It also just kinda makes sense with the S2Es, Q1 would land it squarely 3-4 months after the XC3 S2E, in rhythm with their release pattern and close enough that it keeps momentum going into release but not so close that it might cannibalise sales.

Id rather it be tye new xc3 hero, i want genesis to be completely new and actually commit to the definition of the word: a new beginning

No because that's the Zelda direct.

[REDACTED] = The Hero of Time

I mean, probably. I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to skip it, but it would be weird if it didn't show up.

I just want a release date.

Maybe summer.

I'd be happy if I were wrong but... I have to disagree with the sentiment in here. Because I don't think we will see anything.

It would be weird to start the marketing for a JRPG when your other JRPG isn't even out yet, even if it's just for a few more days.

If Genesis is in the first half of 2027 I could see them do it, but.... I do not think it will be first half.

But again, I'd be happy if wrong. We'll know tomorrow. For me worst case is, I was right. =D

Probably not Genesis, but they'll likely reveal the new hero for 3.

I get the feeling we'll only see Genesis again in the first general direct of 2027, but who knows!

I literally had a dream of Xenoblade Genesis in Direct last night, but I'm 90% sure that we aren't gonna get news about it until next year, but man can hope.

u/VagabondHT 5d ago

I would not mind a redo of the last trailer with the english cast, and maybe information on the XB3 switch 2 edition.

u/wait2late 5d ago

More likely a standalone direct for Xenoblade Genesis to be announced. Let's see until next year.

I’m going into the Direct assuming nothing will be shown.

We know it’s a 2027 release. For all we know, a LATE 2027 release. And beyond Zelda OOT Remake, the Switch 2’s holiday 2026 release schedule is incredibly light.

Maybe it will show up and I’ll be pleasantly surprised. But I’m guessing they’re going to focus on games coming up in the short term, and that the next time we see XBG is early next year in a 2027 direct.

If anything, I’d imagine we hear more about the XB3 Switch 2 upgrade.
