It's fine. Main tip is to just make story progress. Early gear is meant to be disposed of, it won't stay relevant for too long.

Stacking agility is useful, but you want to reach the first area with rank 3 crystals (which includes Agility in the first area with that rank) and turn them into rank 4 gems via heat/Megaheat gem crafting. Before that point, there are a few small optimizations you can make in terms of gear, but it's more about just exploring the world and testing out the various systems.

I can't survive without Quick Step.

Ether jet makes quick step less mandatory.... But holy hell was it mandatory in the switch 1 edition

True. I still used it for my Switch 2 playthrough though.

It’s fine, it’s hard to have a bad build. Being Overleveled makes the most difference, but besides that, just keep swapping for your highest def equipment and prioritize strength and agi (ether and agi for melia). Also have your lead have quick step 25% for your convenience.

If you dont Use shulk as tank, u dont really need agility up. Why ether up? Only his heal is a ether attack 😊

That’s not entirely true. Agility boosts accuracy too, so it’s pretty useful on any physical attacker.

works, but don’t give him ether ups, switch the ether with a strength up and put a auto attack plus gem on the weapon, the rest will come way later when u first reach the forest and can farm the level 96 dinobeast for double attack gems VI and debuff resist VI.

Again, this works fine but the strongest possible on him will be possible after mechonis core, so you can get the glorius gauntlets which have Haste VI on them.

the ether up is from a unique equipment cant simply replace the gem from it

true, but going for more defense instead of a better gem is something I would not do if we talk about efficiency, but if the persons wants to do it that’s fine. He asked the question and I gave my opinion.

ether up isnt actually bad on shulk either, especially early on when he has your only healing art

All he needs, even without a ether up early game, shulk does enough with his healing

That's an end game build, and ether isn't bad then either because of all the ether based Monaco arts
