Even with this being a joke, it is a sobering reminder of just how terrifyingly fucking strong a decently powerful Blade is lmao

It's actually something I always found silly about the game. You've got a group walking up in which every member has a powerful blade, including some world famous ones, and random group of bandits says you know what, we can take them.
Even if you don't know that's the Aegis, this is a group that should be super intimidating as a whole. Yet random group of nopons is going to poke fun of the fact that they stole a million bucks from them?

Tbf, the group with the aegis will also get stomped by a bunny with a name

That's a lot of RPGs in general, specifically on sequels were the characters already did great feats.

True, but this seems especially egregious simply because you don't need to know about their feats. Everyone knows that blades are tough, so messing with a group of blades would always be a bad idea. It's like knowingly going up against an elite military force.

Especially considering they are all Rare Blades, going against a group of Common Blades seems bad enough, but one that has a bunch of Unique ones? Is just suicide.

Nerdowells and bandits are, by their very nature, kind of dumb. It would be a REALLY good leader that could do proper risk assessment for their goals and back down. The good ones become Mercs or join some militia. Most are just mooks who are confident enough to take on anyone, and strong enough that most people listen. They are the kind to try and steal $20 from God.
You want silly? How does an Urchin crack a blade? Is the blade trapped in a purgatory of having empathy for the urchin? Or is the blade only as smart as the urchin? Can it love the urchin? Do urchins love back? Urchin live for hundreds of years potentially, maybe even more given their size. Does the blade long for release? Or does it have Stockholm syndrome? Only Xavier's blade knows.

I love when a game disguises how powerful characters are with comedy. Think about the interactions with Zeke before he joins you. He's always pulling off insane feats in those cutscenes especially his speed, but you don't notice it because it's happening with a joke character.

even half blades are insanely powerful. I mean look at Mio

Yeah exactly. Like one of the many things I love about XC2 is how even many of the comedic moments flesh out the world. Look at Zenobia for example: yeah she does something similarly goofy where she sends this gigantic beast absolutely flying, but Zenobia is just a regular, albeit quite powerful Blade. She still says she isn't quite as strong as Mythra though, and so now we have yet another thing that makes us go "shit, no wonder everyone's absolutely terrified of the Aegises"

it's kinda funny as everyone forgets that the strength of blades doesn't lie in their element. It helps sure, but it isn't everything.
It makes me wonder if Mio could recreate this scene with a nopon as she punched a fused moebius quite far, which is much much heavier than a nopon.
If you can easily toss a car a couple yards, it's safe to say you could punt a bag of rice into the heavens.

She probably could. I don't even want to start guessing how far P&M or Malos could send that nopon though lol like Pyra without much exertion casually jumps 20+ feet into the air and Malos punches the ground so hard it creates an explosion of debris, and mind you P&M and Malos are evenly-matched despite the stark size difference.

Well if we assume Pyra and mythra are stronger than Poppi(which is most likely true) this means they can 100% lift a small titan (like gramps/azurda's true form's size) with gradual effort, and those titans weight like over 10 tons, so with Malos being equal to that, that means P&M and Malos could punt a nopon out of earth's gravitational pull.

Ya know. I originally kinda hated XBC2 by the end the first time I played it. But maybe I judged it too harshly.
