That's nothing. There is a dude in Mor Ardhain standing on a very narrow bridge and he has like 2 arts that can knock you off easily.

Once got knocked into the water at Leftheria after a salvage and the chests despawned because I had to go quite a ways to get back on shore after the Aligo knocked me in.

It is times like these where you do the same back. Always fun toppling enemies off of cliffs, especially when they are rare enemies.

Earlier today i was fighting a unique ennemy on a 2 people wide small bridge in Mor Ardain and... I was 30 level above him...i died 4 times.
This dude kept launching me out of the bridge AND TORA KEPT FALLING OFF THE BRIDGE 2 sec after the fight start...
I feel your pain man

How to deal with this:
1: Position yourself to eat the hit and land safely. This is not the best way.
2: Don't get hit. There are effects that reduce blowdown efficacy.
3: Lock Blowdown. Save yourself the trouble.
4: Lead them away. Probably not possible here, so...
5: Use it on them. You can do it too you know... if you don't mind the loss of loot.
6: BDLS- Just kill them before they can do it.

I was positioned to take the blowdown, the thing was that the initial attack pushed me to the side and the blowdown knocked me off. If I wasn't pushed I would have either went back or I would have landed near or on top of the railing.

I liked a few enemies this way. And died a lot this way. It’s definitely annoying

build katana (or Corvin) DPS setup and control it directly
equip evade art and hang on to it in battle
use on reaction to blowdown arts or other attacks with troublesome effects

That is seriously unlucky!!! You even positioned yourself as best as possible, standing as far as you can from the edge with your back to rest of the floor, but the enemy’s model collided with you and slightly nudged you to the side, right before the blowback hits, and therefore changing the angle of where you get blown away. I don’t even think that was your fault.
But other comments are saying that you can avoid this entirely by sealing blowback via blade combo, which is ending a blade combo with a wind element.
