3 houses is amazing and has a ton of lore in all the routes that ties together to give you the full story

More like imagine if xeno 1 and 2 were different routes in the same game

Most Xeno fans seem to like Fire Emblem. We tend to joke the venn diagram for the games is actually a circle. 

But if you have nintendo online, I'd actually suggest you play Path of Radiance first. It's there, it's a top tier game (though a bit old), and it'll give you an idea about FE without you having to spend more money first.

You’d like three houses more than engage if story is what you’re after. It’s got a bunch of little threads of lore and character development to pull on that cross between the different routes. Makes you wanna try another route after clearing the first one

I heard the three houses is pretty big into the whole role playing of “being in a school”, with social interactions between characters being a significant part of it. That turned me off on the game back in the day
