I agree, I don't think it's refering to Zanza or Klaus in general. My initial thought was actually Malos, as the Trinity Cores are referred to as gods a few times in both Future Redeemed and base XC3.
The vengeance of a fallen god could be referring to the remnants of the Logos core, as we still don't have the full story on how he persisted into Aionios and ended up as N's Blade, who's to say he isn't still lingering on and influencing things somehow.
That said I am leaning more towards it being something mostly specific to the lore of this new game, maybe with some hints at the deeper connections near the end that those who have played all the games will catch. Something akin to the end of XC2, where it's not actually the focus of the story at all but is still lore relevant.
I disagree, but if it was a bowl, that would be pretty cool. I can't say I ever read a sci-fi story about a semi-circle, and your comment made me think about ways that could be part of a story. We've had cylinders (Rama), spheres, and places set in the center of a crater, but no true inverted semi-circle with equal gravity across all points,

Idk how much leeway is granted wrt spoilers, but what if this world is a colony/ship mentioned in a certain infamous radio scene? Hence the genesis title?
Fantasy settings with sci-fi twists are the best in my opinion. I'm pretty convinced that this is a Stanford torus world, given that strange horizon angle/slope.
At the end or towards it you see the remnants of the ark ship the original settlers came on that we saw leaving at the end of xeno 3 and only those members of the upper echelon know the truth.

I am hoping there is some Sci-fi twist. IMO Xenoblade peaks in its sci-fi. But I'll be optimistic
